When Bevan Tolley, manager of the Eastside Dingoes football team, spotted Paul McClain playing extremely well for the local Erinsborough team, he quickly offered him his card and arranged a meeting. Before long, Paul was in talks to join the Dingoes, but things went badly for Paul as he was bullied during his first training camp. He walked out and decided to give up on his dream of becoming a footballer. Bevan then turned up in Ramsay Street and asked Paul to give it another try, as he was one of the best footballers he’d seen and he shouldn’t allow the other guys to put him off.
