Friend and classmate to Michelle Scully, Elly Turnbull was the school maths genius and was upset when maths teacher Daniel Fitzgerald left Erinsborough High. However, she was quite taken with his replacement, Evan Hancock and developed something of a crush on him, refusing to listen to Michelle say anything negative about the newcomer.
