When she arrived in Erinsborough looking for her missing boyfriend, Gareth Bateman, Freya Wozniak's odd behaviour attracted the attention of a few of the locals, particularly Roxy Willis, who was concerned that Freya was getting close to police officer Levi Canning, the cousin of Roxy's husband Kyle. With none of them aware of Freya's search for Gareth, and Roxy having caught Freya searching the police database in Levi's car, claiming that she was jokingly searching her own name, Roxy's curiosity was piqued when she was out with Freya one day. Though suspicious of her, Roxy had agreed to go shopping with Freya and the pair seemed to be hitting it off until Freya saw a man sitting by Lassiters lake and ran over, calling him Gareth. The man, Alex, looked round at her in confusion and she apologised for the mix-up, but the incident left Roxy more certain than ever that Freya was not to be trusted.
