On the day of Darcy Tyler’s wedding to Tess Bell, the bride suddenly started having second thoughts, realising that she didn’t really know or trust her husband-to-be. After chatting to one of his ex-girlfriends, Alice Jamison, Tess decided that she couldn’t go through with the wedding and fled to Sydney. Meanwhile, at the wedding venue, Darcy was forced to apologise to celebrant Donna White as time ticked away. Darcy tried desperately to stall for time, introducing Donna to each individual guest, but in the end it was left to Darcy’s uncle Karl Kennedy to break the news that Tess wouldn’t be coming.
