With Terese Willis planning to open her new retirement home, Eirini Rising, she started to look into employing an operations manager, but was contacted by a man named Miles Wilcox, who had seen her plans and was interested in joining the team. After her interview with the slightly overbearing Miles seemed to have gone well, Terese was hopeful that she'd found the right person, but when her ex-husband Paul Robinson turned up later, he explained that, after Terese had mentioned Miles' name earlier, he'd done a little research of his own. He told Terese that Miles was an absolute nightmare to work with, and his current boss was trying to get rid of him. Terese was embarrassed that she'd failed to spot the red flags - a CV that appeared too good to be true, and a long list of jobs that indicated that he couldn't hold onto them for very long. Realising that she couldn't manage the whole project on her own, Terese was grateful when Paul offered to put her in touch with his head hunting team to help her find someone.
