When Lou Carpenter was made homeless by landlord Paul Robinson, he ended up living in a tent at the West Waratah Caravan Park, where he was soon joined by former neighbours the Timmins family, who too had been kicked out by Lyn Scully, whose home they had invaded, but whose patience they had pushed too far. With the Timmins family living in an old bus, and Lou in his tent, they all settled in quickly and became popular faces around the campsite, though the arguments in the Timmins bus would often keep everyone awake. After a few weeks, the Timmins bus found its way back to Lyn’s driveway, and eventually the family were all back under her roof, while Lou found himself a roof with best friend Harold Bishop at 24 Ramsay Street.
