Born 28th October 1990 in Sydney, Valentina Novakovic followed her older sister Bojana Novakovic into acting. After completing school, Valentina was ready to follow her father into a career in architecture, but having studied the subject for a year at university, she decided to pursue her passion for acting full-time. She studied at the McDonald College in Sydney - also attended by her sister - and completed several courses with the National Institute of Dramatic Art.

Aged 19, Valentina won the role of 16-year-old troublemaker Natasha Williams in Neighbours, her first major role, and began filming in early 2010. After three years as Tash, Valentina quit the role in 2012, filming her final scenes in December of that year, and last appearing on Australian screens in March 2013. Valentina said at the time that she was hoping to pursue acting opportunities in the USA.
