Born in 1986 in Melbourne, Victoria, to Danish and Portuguese parents, James Sorensen’s love of acting was fuelled during his high school years with appearances in plays. He went on to make his film debut with a minor role in the film adaptation of Hating Alison Ashley as well as extra work on the television series Wicked Science.

James’ big break came in 2006 when he won the role of Mike in the second series of the ABC surfing drama Blue Water High. He played Mike for 26 episodes before winning the role of Declan Napier in Neighbours in early 2007. As well as acting, James also enjoys playing piano, singing and numerous sports.
