Eliza Jane Taylor-Cotter was born on October 24th , 1989 in Melbourne.

Her first major acting role came in children’s TV show Pirate Islands in which she played one of the lead characters, Sarah Redding in 2002. Eliza’s next lead role would see her cast along side future Neighbours co-star, Caitlin Stasey (Rachel Kinski), in The Sleepover Club. In between these roles, Eliza also landed a guest appearance in Neighbours, playing school bully Jacinta Martin.

After a brief appearance in Australian cop drama, Blue Heelers in 2004, Eliza returned to Neighbours a year later, this time part of the regular cast and playing feisty teenager Janae Timmins.

In 2006, Eliza appeared as herself on a UK documentary, entitled Sex, Lies and Soap, broadcast on Channel 4. She also took part in a special edition of Australian quiz show, Australia’s Brainiest Neighbour in March 2006 alongside some of her fellow Neighbours colleagues. In October 2007, Eliza filmed her final scenes as Janae Timmins and in December of that year, she travelled to the UK to appear as Snow White in pantomine at Weymouth, after which she planned to visit Los Angeles.
