brand new internet radio show, dedicated to the world of British
and Australian soaps, is to launch this Friday, 26th May.
The weekly show will feature star interviews, gossip and competitions,
as well as music from soap stars who perform in their own
bands. The opening episode will be of particular interest
to Neighbours fans, as it includes interviews with
current star Alan Fletcher (Karl Kennedy), as well
as former Neighbours actress Maggie Millar,

Ex-Neighbours Are Tripping

The
Advertiser reports that former Neighbours actors
Brooke Satchwell (Anne Wilkinson) and Daniel MacPherson
(Joel Samuels) are to star in new drama Tripping Over.
The six-part mini series, which will also star Lisa McCune
and Rebecca Gibney will be filmed in Sydney, Melbourne,
London and Thailand, and is set to be screened in both the
UK and Australia.
Omnibus Petition UPDATE

Viewers
in the UK have often called for a weekend Neighbours
omnibus, but so far, to no avail. A petition has been set up
for those wanting to voice their opinion on the matter, and
can be accessed here.
UPDATE: We've recently been pointed in the direction of
another omnibus campaign, which already has almost 500 signatures,
as well as putting up some pretty decent arguments for the

Australia’s
Dolly magazine is offering readers the chance to audition
for a role in Neighbours. Two roles will be cast –
a girl aged between 12 and 16, and a boy aged between 15 and
18. Both roles will be for three months, with filming commencing
in July, and could be extended if they prove popular. For

Dirty Dancing In London

Having
completed a tour of Australia and New Zealand in the lead
role of Baby in the musical Dirty Dancing, Kym Valentine
(Libby Kennedy) is now looking likely to win the role as the
show comes to London’s West End. Australia’s Herald Sun
reports that Kym is currently in the UK attending a final
audition for the role. The show is set to open in October,
with many dates already sold out.

Former
Neighbour Stephen Hunt (Matt Hancock) will be
launching his music career on Friday 12th May. The launch,
to be held at The Lair in the Metro Theatre, Sydney, comes
ahead of the recording of Stephen’s debut album listen
and the release of his first single, two shoes. Tickets
for the gig are available on the door and cost $10, with profits
going to Y.E.A.H. (Youth Empowerment Against HIV/AIDS)
and the AIDS Trust of Australia.
4000th Episode Glasses

Neighbour Maggie Millar (Rosie Hoyland) is offering
a pair of commemorative glasses to the highest bidder. The
crystal champagne glasses, which were given to cast members
as part of the 4000th episode celebrations, can be viewed,
