Playing With The Bishops

 Having
filmed their final scenes, it seems that Marcella Russo
(Liljana Bishop) and Kevin Harrington (David Bishop)
are to join forces for their next project. They will star
together in The Trial of Adolf Eichmann, which opens
at the Carlton Courthouse Theatre from October 19th. The play
will also star Don Bridges (Karl Banks/Kev Rebecchi)
and Mike Bishop (Mick Anderson).
Inside Soap Awards

 The
shortlists for this year’s Inside Soap Awards has been
announced and Neighbours has done surprisingly well,
featuring in five categories. Stefan Dennis (Paul Robinson)
and Natalie Bassingthwaighte (Izzy Hoyland) are up
for Best Bad Boy and Best Bitch, respectively. And there’s
good news for the Bishops, as the whole family are nominated
in the Best Family category and Ian Smith (Harold Bishop)
is also up for Funniest Performance. Finally, the show is
nominated for Best Soap. The winners will be revealed in the
next issue of Inside Soap, on sale Tuesday 27th September.
Merchandise Update

The
complete range of Neighbours 20th Anniversary merchandise
is now available to buy. Further to the stamps which were
released in July, a board game, commemorative book and four
novels are on sale in Australia. Viewers in the UK can purchase
the items from the Neighbours
Tours shop.
Meanwhile,
The 20th Anniversary DVD Collection, which was due to be released
this month, has been delayed. Problems with clearance for
the episodes means that it may have to be pushed back until
next year for its UK release, and may never even see the light
of day in Australia!
