According
to the UK's Sunday Mirror newspaper, Paris Hilton
has turned to Madeleine West (Dee Bliss) to help her
launch a singing career. Madeleine has written two songs for
Hilton - Hard On Me and Party That Never Ends.
20th Anniversary Vote

Just
to say that voting will be closing on our 20th Anniversary
Vote will be closing this Friday (17th December) for the first
round of voting. If anyone hasn't voted, and would like to,
go here.
When
we return in January, we'll have narrowed down the four categories
to shortlists of 50. We will also introduce the remaining
categories, including 'Best Family', 'Best Opening Titles'
and 'Best Year'.

Robinson Return

An
interview with Australia's Courier Mail newspaper today
has revealed some more details about Stefan Dennis'
long-awaited return to Neighbours as Paul Robinson.
It seems that Stefan is back for "at least six months" and
is set to be, at least at the beginning, "Mr Nice Guy and
Mr Benevolent". Fans in Australia can witness his return this
week, whilst UK fans will only have a short wait, until March.
Carla's Charity Work

Carla
Bonner (Stephanie Scully) has spoken about the pain she
suffered as a child when her father, Peter, died of AIDS.
Carla lost her father at the age of 13, when he contracted
the HIV virus during a blood transfusion. She is now hoping
that speaking about her experiences will help other youngsters
in the same situation, and is working with youth charity YEAH
(Youth Empowerment Against HIV/AIDS).

Australia’s
Herald Sun newspaper reports that former neighbour
Madeleine West (Dione Bliss) has landed the lead role
in new Australian film, The Passage. The film, due
to be shot early next year, sees Madeleine starring as Jordan,
an aspiring tennis star. Since leaving Neighbours last
year, Madeleine’s career has really taken off, with stand-up
comedy in Edinburgh, as well as roles in Channel Nine’s
telemovie Big Reef and Australian movie You And
Your Stupid Mate.
Christmas Schedules

It’s
now been confirmed that Neighbours will be taken off
air for the usual Christmas break on BBC One this year.
The last episode of the year will air on Friday 17th December
at the usual times, and it should return on Monday 3rd January,
though this is subject to change.
The
Perfect Blend will also be on a break as of Saturday December
18th, returning, with Neighbours, in January.
