First Kylie Minogue was in Doctor Who, then Jason Donovan moved to Echo Beach. Now another former Neighbours star - Alan Dale, who was Donovan’s screen dad, Jim - is in this week’s Torchwood (Wednesday BBC2). What’s next, Bouncer in Trial & Retribution? No, but don’t be shocked to see Dale: he’s the king of the supporting role, having been in The OC, Ugly Betty, Lost, 24 and The West Wing. Dale tells RT that he ran into Minogue while shooting Torchwood. “She was in the same hotel [while filming Doctor Who]. Kylie and her retinue turned up, so I went and gave her a big hug. Her bodyguards weren’t quick enough to stop me!”
