After Steph's dramatic wedding day, Flick returns to Erinsborough after fleeing to Sydney and moves out into Drew and Libby's old flat. Steph is finding it difficult to forgive her sister for what happened, while Marc decides to focus his efforts on winning back Flick
Michelle and Connor begin seeing each other in secret, eventually deciding to admit all to her father, who is surprisingly laid-back about the whole thing
After a chat with Rosie, Valda mistakenly thinks Lou and Harold are a couple. In a desperate attempt to correct her, Harold kisses her, but she realises the true worth of a valuable stamp collection a few days later and disappears on a cruise
Despite the possible ramifications, Darcy starts seeing patient Penny Watts, but the two of them are finally caught out by Karl, putting Darcy's job on the line
Tad finds out that his old adversary Doula was the one who stole his passport and his identity. After confronting her, her partner in crime Richard runs off and is killed in a road accident, where his passport leads police to believe that Tad has been killed. Harold, when asked to identify the body, realises the error and Tad leaves for America to DJ for the Extreme Games tour
Susan spills some milk in the kitchen, slips and bangs her head and suffers from retrograde amnesia, leaving her thinking she's 16 again. The condition results in her being terrified of Karl and believing her daughter Libby is infact her sister Carmel
Rosie's blessing of the animals goes off well, while Boyd finds a fox abandoned in the church
Mysterious new neighbours move into number 32 and various residents leave welcoming casseroles on the doorstep but still get no closer to meeting them

Five Years Ago - June 1998
While one couple finally got married, another found their marriage suddenly falling apart around them...
The Karl and Sarah storyline continues as Sarah admits all to Toadie, resigns from the surgery and leaves Erinsborough to live in a caravan park. Susan is left confused by the whole situation, while Karl feels guilty when he sees the situation he's left Sarah in. After picking her up from the caravan park, his new car, the infamous Thunderbird, breaks down and they are forced to stay over at a motel
Drew moves into the street after staying with his aunt in the city for a while
Lou buys a theme restaurant, Little Tommy Tucker's, much to the shock of his friends and neighbours, who all seem able to see what a shoddy investment it is
Caitlin plots to get Lance and Amy back together by making it seem that she is interested in Lance. The plan results in Amy roping in Billy to get close to and then threatening Caitlin in the toilets at the restaurant
Paul's friend Mickey Dalton causes trouble by getting Paul involved in shoplifting and planting some stolen sweets from the coffee shop in Paul's bag
Only weeks before her wedding, Ruth finds a lump in her breast, although she is eventually given the all-clear after an agonising wait
Phil and Ruth's wedding goes well, with her arriving at the venue, Lassiter's Lake, on the back of a motorcycle and Philip's son Michael and Ruth's son Ben both returning for the event
Michael convinces Hannah to accept that Ruth is marrying Phil and moving in
The day doesn't go so well for others, as Billy reveals the truth to Susan and Karl and Sarah. After the reception, Susan confronts Karl and the exchange results in her delivering her famous slap
Madge uncovers a bequest from her grandfather, which will go to whoever can build a machine to fly over the Erinsfield River
Nick and Caitlin leave Erinsborough after their mother returns to Australia from the Middle East, and Caitlin paints the message 'Never forget Cait + Nick!' on the street

Brad continues his affair with Lauren which eventually all comes out in the open, while Beth starts seeing Brad's best mate Swampy, in an attempt to make him jealous
Wayne gets kidnapped and beaten up accidentally when Lou arranges for Russell to be got rid of once and for all - the leader of the gang is then found dead in mysterious circumstances and Wayne becomes prime suspect for the attack. After finding himself backed into a corner, he asked Gaby to help him with an alibi
Debbie is two-timing Rick with Lassiter's chef Harvey Johnson, which Rick eventually learns about by reading Debbie's diary, causing a great deal of friction between the couple
Russell is revealed to have lost his wife and child, seeing Phoebe and Hope as substitutes
Beth moves into number 30 as the new lodger
The Lim family move into number 22 temporarily, while work on their home in Eden Hills is being completed; friendships between the Martin and Lim children quickly develop but Jenny Lim finds Debbie a bad influence on her daughter Sarah while Julie accuses the family of eating Holly the dog. Of course, it all turned out to be a misunderstanding, leaving Julie feeling foolish.
After the death of Jim, Helen discovers a letter revealing that Julie isn't his natural daughter. After finding out the truth, Julie made it her mission to learn the truth and, despite advice from everyone to the contrary, track down her real father
