One Year Ago - August 2003

Toadie and Libby were forced to deal with the consequences of recent events, while a new neighbour entered the world…

 

• A memorial service for Dee is held on the cliff where she went missing. Toadie cannot accept that his new bride is gone for good. Although he goes back to work soon after, it quickly becomes evident that Toadie isn’t coping, as he takes his grief out on a client

• Libby owns up to Susan that she slept with Taj, and a horrified Susan refuses to accept her daughter’s apologies. She attempts to help Libby save her job, before admitting how ashamed she is. Libby leaves to stay on Grandpa Tom’s farm for a while, to try to regain control of her life

• Taj fails to accept that his relationship with Libby is over, and he heads to Tom’s farm to see her. Once there, he sees Libby with Ben and realises that he has no place in her life. After leaving her a note, he hitches a ride home with a girl called Sophie, who convinces Taj to move on with his life

• Nina and Jack’s relationship suffers as she refuses to become intimate with him. She eventually admits that she is a virgin, and Jack tries to create a romantic environment for her first time. However, he also meets a girl named Edwina, who seems a lot more willing to sleep with him

• Steph becomes very distracted when she finds a lump in her breast and struggles to reveal the truth to those closest to her. After visiting Karl, she argues with Max and Summer about her having become so distant. Karl convinces her to see a specialist, and she undergoes a biopsy

• Stuart is horrified as Toadie holds him responsible for the accident and explains that he’s going to sue him, before throwing him out of number 30

• Harold is in for a shock when his granddaughter Sky arrives unexpectedly from Western Australia. The strong personalities soon clash as Harold accuses Sky of smoking pot in her room, and she threatens to leave

• The Scully baby is finally born after a very difficult labour. Everyone is surprised when it turns out to be a boy, after Karl had originally told the parents that it would be a girl. Lyn struggles to cope after the birth, while Joe goes ahead and names the baby Oscar without consulting her

 

Five Years Ago - August 1999

Several residents find themselves facing decisions in their love lives, while another faces financial ruin…

• Tad has no other option but to return to Tindara after Madge and Harold decide that they couldn’t manage if they took him in. However, just as he’s about to leave the street for good, Harold changes his mind and rushes out to tell Tad that he can stay

Lance struggles to cope with the revelation that Megan was only dating him for a bet. He disappears on his own to go fishing, and Toadie, Anne and Amy manage to track him down. Amy comforts her ex, and they begin to wonder whether they did the right thing breaking up with each other

Libby realises that now she’s starting to discover her feelings for Drew, he’s moved on and is dating Geri, who also scored work alongside Libby at the pub. She then decides that she can’t be around Drew any longer, and applies for a job a long way from Erinsborough

Joel returns to his training and finds a new partner in the form of champion triathlete Spiro Politis

Anne continues her new friendship with artist Fanto, much to the horror of her ex, Bill. Although Anne only wants him as a friend, it quickly becomes clear to everyone but Anne that Fanto wants more than a mate

Susan begins spending a lot of time with Martin Chester, an old flame and friend of hers and Karl’s, while he is away in Sydney. Martin admits that he’s in love with Susan, leaving her torn and only able to confide in her counsellor

• After some financial advice from Phil, Lou finds himself losing everything and places the blame squarely at Phil’s door

 


Ten Years Ago - August 1994

More new faces in Erinsborough, plus a couple of old faces who came back…

 

• Jack Flynn returns, demanding to see his son, Zac. Gaby refuses to allow this at first, but after Jack takes the baby while Doug is looking after him, Gaby realises how unfair she’s being and allows Jack access

Gaby decides to hold a naming day for Zac, and Beth returns for the event, while Pam’s interfering mother Moina also puts in an appearance. The residents all gather as Gaby plants a tree for her son

Mark and Rick find a new housemate in the form of Lynette, who arrives with a removal van and promptly begins to steal all of their possessions. Only Hannah is suspicious, and she manages to stop the thief, to the relief of Mark and Rick

Mark’s troublesome sister Serendipity arrives in Erinsborough after a spell working as a nanny in Amsterdam. She decides to move into a room at number 30, but quickly becomes a pain as she struggles to cope with keeping the house tidy

Debbie decides to accept an offer from Rosemary and go and spend some time in New York to help her recover from all of her recent problems

Annalise also sets off on her travels, as she leaves for London, with a depressed Mark staying behind.

Marlene begins holding make-up parties for Roxanne Marie, but the first one ends in disaster as Rick, the new face of Lassiter’s, comes out in a terrible rash the night before his photo shoot
