One Year Ago - July 2004

A double wedding saw the residents of Ramsay Street celebrating…

 

• Lou faced his day in court and was found guilty and sent to prison, where he panicked that he might end up sharing a cell with Rocco. He was in for a bigger surprise, however, when his cellmate turned out to be Darcy!

Tom and Susan decide to make their relationship public and he leaves the church, finding work as a courier. Things are going well for them until their various problems begin to catch up with them

After all the interference from her family, Steph agrees to elope with Max. Just as they’re about to say their vows, their family and friends turn up for the big day

Charlie Cassidy returns for the wedding and decides to propose to Valda, who accepts. The two take advantage of Steph and Max’s original wedding venue going to waste and get married

Jack begins a slippery slope to drug addiction as he attempts to keep up with Mac’s partying lifestyle

When Mac helps Jack fake a break in at the building site, Darren’s past comes back to haunt him as he is framed for the crime and even Libby’s trust in him begins to waver

Sindi and Lil decide to share an expensive dress that they both want to buy

Connor’s access rights to Maddy are put in jeopardy when Stingray takes it upon himself to take her out one day and babysit her

 

Five Years Ago - July 2000

Painful separations, legal proceedings and some surprising secrets made for an interesting month in Erinsborough…

• Karl is forced to tell Libby that there’s a chance she’ll never have children. She is devastated and decides to call of the engagement rather than put Drew through the pain of never being a father

Karl settles the Ryan case out of court rather than put the family through any more emotional upheaval. The Ryans think they can get more in court, however, but Glenda eventually drops the case

Tad manages to settle his differences with his birth mother, Rachel, who brings him a birthday cake and tells him she’s baked him one every year

Joel and Dione’s relationship is threatened when her ex-boyfriend, Max Crawford, turns up and makes it clear that he wants his former girlfriend back

Michelle finally meets Damon Gaffney, the inhabitant of the scary house, whose wife and daughter died in a car crash. Michelle later learns that Damon was driving the car and was under the influence of alcohol

Wendy Baker comes forward to testify that Harold is not the man who committed the robberies in Tasmania

Flick develops a new crush, on postie Pete Redman, and goes out of her way to impress him

Lance’s campaign for student council is thwarted by the mysterious Sandy Swimmer, who is eventually revealed to be Toadie

 


Ten Years Ago - July 1995

A sad departure and a couple of shock arrivals kept the action ticking over for another month…

 

• Mark realises that he’s in love with Lucy just as she’s about to leave. She tells him that it’s too late and leaves for New York the next morning

Sam finds out that Karl is the one who’s been stealing Marlene’s gnomes and they manage to frame him for his practical joke

Philip and Brook fight for Jen’s affections, but in the end she decides to stay with Phil

? Mark’s religious fanaticism deepens after Lucy’s departure and, as he survives several accidents, including Susan running him over, he begins to think he’s invincible

Ren and Luke struggle to get over each other and their brief relationship comes to an end

Stonie is faced with a dilemma when his brother, Shane, turns up having escaped from prison

Cheryl’s daughter, Janine, turns up suddenly, having walked out on her abusive boyfriend, Ross

Billy finally meets the girl of his dreams, Melissa Drenth
