After the operation, Serena finally tells the family the truth – Luka is Liljana’s son and Svetlanka has known this all along

In an attempt to get her over her fear of water, Karl takes Izzy on a boat trip, but when he presents her with an engagement ring, she gets excited and falls in the water. She and the baby are declared fine, but as she leaves hospital, Izzy falls down the same stairs Darcy fell down, and she miscarries

Lyn announces that she isn’t moving to Bendigo and has decided to separate from Joe

As Lana’s sexuality becomes public knowledge and she starts seeing a girl named Buffy, Sky realises that she’s jealous and confides in Libby that she’s starting to wonder if she’s developing feelings for her friend

Carmella makes a surprise return as editor of All Her magazine and Sindi’s new boss. Connor struggles to resist the temptation of his ex-girlfriend as she takes revenge for him choosing Michelle over her

Stu and Sindi share a surprise kiss and Toadie finds out and struggles to come to terms with it. As he and Sindi get back together, Stu realises that he’s falling in love with his best mate’s girlfriend

Lou begins an internet romance with a woman named Carol, but is horrified to find out that it’s actually Connor

Boyd’s feud with Travis reaches a violent climax as the latter throws a Molotov cocktail through number 32’s kitchen window. Boyd eventually tracks Travis down and he’s arrested

 

Five Years Ago - October 2000

Robberies, reunions, a tragedy and seven labours of love made for a busy few weeks…

• Patsy moves in with Lou, and although Michelle suspects that she’s up to no good, nobody listens to her. When Patsy then agrees to move in with Tess, it emerges that she’s planning to rob both numbers 22 and 32 but luckily Michelle raises the alarm and Lou is forced to eat his words

Tad finds out that his real mother, Rachel, has died and his half-brother, Tim, requires a bone marrow donation. Tad agrees to have tests and is found to be a match

Libby and Drew finally get back together as she stops him from selling the garage and leaving town at the last minute

Dione becomes Tess’ new housemate, but the pair struggle to get along as Dee’s messy ways and changes in décor prove tough for Tess to take

Allana sets seven labours for Lance to complete in order to win her over, these include tracking down sci-fi star Jimmy Le Van and proving the existence of UFOs

When Lyn hires Joel as her personal trainer, it kicks off a fitness contest between her and Joe

Susan agrees to look after Leo and Emily Hancock, the children of her friend, Jenny, for a few days

The feelings between Joel and Flick grow stronger and he agrees to accompany her to the debutante ball

 


Ten Years Ago - October 1995

Relationships were causing many headaches this month, as obsessions and secrets came between more than one couple…

 

• Cody dumps Adrian after realising that he’s still involved with Caroline, his ex-girlfriend. However, Adrian won’t take no for an answer and proceeds to make Cody’s life hell in his attempts to win her back

Annalise begins tutoring Stonie for his HSC, but they quickly begin a secret relationship. However, when Stonie contracts glandular fever, Annalise worries that Sam will find out her secret

Marlene agrees to marry Colin, but their plans come unstuck when he’s offered the chance to go to South America

Mark’s relationship with Jo falls apart too, as he realises that she is far more serious about him than he is about her

Libby begins a new relationship with Mal’s surfie mate Sonny Hammond

Sam’s dad, Patrick, comes to town and several Ramsay Street men head to Camp Drum Beat for a bonding weekend, where father and son struggle to see eye-to-eye

Hannah gets a new boyfriend, Lance Hails, who oddly starts lavishing her, and her family, with expensive gifts
