Trivia Notes
• Scott Robinson, Beverly Robinson, Julie Martin, Cody Willis, Cheryl Stark, Libby Kennedy, Declan Napier, Lauren Turner and Brad Willis are the only Regular Characters over the age of 16 to have been recast
• Jamie Clarke, Hope Gottlieb, Cheryl Stark and Libby Kennedy are the only Regular Characters to have been temporarily recast. Hope was filmed in a baby incubator for just one episode so Jessica Allen-Wetzler played the role. Cheryl (Caroline Gillmer) and Libby (Kym Valentine) were both due to serious illness. Jamie (S.J. Dey) was due to a disagreement about getting Jamie's hair cut
• Jamie Clarke is the most recast character. He has been played by five different actors (although two of them were twins who shared the role at the same time)
• Lauren Turner (née Carpenter) has the biggest gap between recasts; 4477 episodes
• The recasts of Jamie Clarke (changing from S.J. to Ryder), Hope Gottlieb (changing from Laura to Jessica), Libby Kennedy (changing from Michala to Kym) and Declan Napier all occurred in consecutive episodes; but Jamie and Libby's both occurred after the Australian Christmas break, Declan's happened after one weekend, while Hope's recast happened over the space of one day
• During Colette Mann's stint as Cheryl Stark, Brett Stark had a dream about Cheryl (episode 2526), but she was played by Caroline Gillmer
• Only a few Guest Characters have been recast without becoming Regular Characters. They include: Barbara Young, Larry Spencer, Arthur Bright, Bob Landers, Amy Robinson, Loretta Martin,
Bunny Lawson, Prue Watkins, Dave Gottlieb, Sally Dawes, Coral Reeves, Julia Burrows, Tim Bailey, Dougal Kirk, Gino Esposito, Magda Bliss, Roy Evans, Johnny Brown, Ricardo/George Pappas, Amanda/Patricia Pappas, Holly Hoyland
• Jamie Clarke, Lolly Allen and Charlie Hoyland are the only characters who were Regulars but were recast to play Guest Character roles
• Introductory voiceovers have been used twice to explain recasts. For Libby Kennedy, Jackie Woodburne (Susan Kennedy) said: "Tonight the role of Libby Kennedy will be played by Michala Banas" . For Declan Napier, Jane Hall (Rebecca Napier) said: "Tonight the role of Declan Napier will be played by Erin Mullally"
• Although she didn't appear until episode 2563, Caroline Gillmer was credited as Cheryl Stark from episode 2561
• Although he didn't appear until episode 5560, Jacob Brito was credited as Charlie Hoyland from episode 5556
• Although she didn't appear until episode 5582, Michala Banas was credited as Libby Kennedy from episode 5581
• The role of Stephanie Scully was originally awarded to Emma Roche, who had recorded three weeks of episodes before being replaced by Carla Bonner. Carla began recording almost immediately after her casting, with all the existing Stephanie Scully scenes re-recorded accordingly. Roche can be seen briefly during the Scullys' arrival, in the long-shot of Stephanie driving the Scully family car. Perfect Blend does not consider this to be a recast
