Harold's Store: Susan is sitting at a table, working, when Gem and Georgia come in. Gem is encouraging Georgia to make a go of her opportunity to work in the music industry, but Georgia is worried about laying things on the line, as her self-esteem has been all over the place lately. Gem tells Georgia that she'll be there to support her, and says that she can't imagine how Georgia copes with juggling the nursing, singing and a boyfriend. She remembers how much she always wanted to be a dancer, but says that, even if her own dream is no longer possible, she'll be there to help Georgia achieve hers. Gem then spots Susan about to leave, and calls her over to say hello. Susan explains that she doesn't have an answer about the job yet, as there's still a lot of protocol to follow, but Gem understands and says that she hopes to hear from her later.

No 30: Sonya asks Callum how things are going with Bailey - Callum admits that things aren't good, and Sonya wonders if Callum is even trying. She thinks that Callum's being stubborn, and he needs to be mature and accept Bailey's apology. As a grumpy Callum leaves to go back to school, Gem gets back, in a good mood, and Sonya asks if she's heard about the job yet. Gem says that Susan still has to consult the school board and go through the proper channels, but she doesn't hold out much hope, as she didn't make a good impression at the interview. She also tells Sonya that she had a personality clash with her last boss, plus she left without much notice, so she won't get a good reference either. She starts to say that it sometimes feels like everything's been an uphill battle lately, before realising that Sonya already knows about her accident. Gem goes a bit quiet, then says that there's no point in getting stressed, Susan will either employ her or she won't - there's nothing she can do about it now.

No 26 - Kitchen: Chris is reading an online newspaper, and sees an article about Hudson, which says that his hearing has been brought forward to next week. He mentions it to Sheila, who wonders if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but Chris has no idea, and admits that he'd like to attend the hearing even if Hudson doesn't want him there. Sheila says that Chris shouldn't still be feeling guilty about any of this, then she notices that the back door is open, and asks Chris if he left it like that. She begins to rant about intruders, and Chris insists that he didn't do it, but offers to check all of the doors and windows every night. Sheila says that she hates feeling so vulnerable, but Chris tells her that it's natural after what happened the other night, and the feeling will pass.

Erinsborough High - Office: Sonya is telling Susan about the problems that Callum and Bailey have been having lately, and asks if she can keep an eye on the situation, which gives Susan an idea. Sonya then changes the subject to Gem - Susan says that no decision has been made, and she shouldn't even be discussing it really. Sonya then explains that Gem had a small personality clash with her previous principal, which she thought that Susan should know about before making her mind up.

Erinsborough High - Classroom: Bailey is explaining the process of mitosis to some of the other students, when Callum tells him to shut up, as he's being annoying. Bailey tells him to go and sit somewhere else if it's bothering him that much, and they start to argue, but it quickly stops as Susan arrives to teach the class. She says that they'll be starting an assignment that's to be done in pairs, and she pairs up Bailey and Callum. They're both annoyed about it, but Susan smiles to herself.

Erinsborough High - Corridor: Bailey and Callum are already arguing over whose house they'll go to, to do the assignment. Bailey says that Callum should really have moved on from all of this now, as even someone as petty as him can't hold a grudge for this long. Callum says that he's still annoyed, but Bailey wonders if he even knows why he's still so annoyed - Callum then tells him that he thinks that Bailey only ever used him as the ice-breaking, funny sidekick to help with girls. He says that he's the Ryan Reynolds to Bailey's Jason Bateman, and Bailey says that Callum has now completely lost it, and he watches too many chick flicks. Callum tells him to shut up and storms off.

Harold's Store: Gem is getting a coffee, and then goes over to Callum, who's working on the assignment on his own, but admits that he doesn't understand what he's doing. He tells her that Bailey behaved like a moron, and then admits that he did too, but Bailey was being more moronic. Gem sits down to try and help him, and Callum asks her if she and Georgia ever had a big fight, but Gem replies that nothing could come between her and her cousin. She tells Callum that if he has that type of friendship with Bailey then it's worth saving, and advises that he try talking to him again, but drop the anger and attitude this time. As they talk, Susan has come in and overheard, and is very impressed with Gem's handling of the situation.

Fitzgerald Motors: Sheila calls by with some lunch for Chris, as an apology for her paranoia earlier that day. He tells her that she didn't need to, and says that he's trying to impress Danni today, so that she might give him time off for Hudson's hearing, so he shouldn't be caught socialising. Sheila takes the hint and leaves, but as she walks back to her car, she spots a man outside Grease Monkeys, taking photographs. She thinks he was taking her photo and goes back to ask Chris if he saw, but Chris isn't there, and when she turns back, the photographer has gone too.

Erinsborough High - Office: Gem arrives for a meeting with Susan, who shakes her hand and congratulates her on getting the job. They sit down, with Gem promising that she won't let Susan down, and then Susan asks Gem about her last principal. Gem explains that he was very conservative, and not very open to new ideas or suggestions, so she felt like she was suffocating. Susan says that she thought it might be something like that, and Gem is grateful that Susan was willing to listen to her side of the story.

Lassiter's Lake: Bailey is sitting by the lake when Callum finds him, and offers an apology. Callum says that they've both been idiots, but Bailey points out that Callum can't seem to apologise for his own actions without adding lots of little clauses. They then start to bicker about it, until Bailey smiles and asks why Callum even came to apologise - Callum says that he couldn't think of a single reason why they can't be friends again. They agree to put everything behind them and get their friendship back to normal.

No 30 - Georgia's Bedroom: Georgia congratulates Gem on the new job, and they decide to go out to celebrate. Georgia suggests that they should call Gem's mum, Coral, to give her the good news, but Gem is reluctant and says she'll do it later. They share a hug, but Gem looks worried.

No 30: Callum and Bailey are working on their project, but Callum is struggling to keep up, and keeps on trying to find distractions. Bailey eventually gets him to sit down and do his share, but then Bailey starts to wonder if Callum only wanted them to be friends again so he would do all the work that Callum didn't understand. Bailey tries to get him to admit it, and then asks if he was just a little bit happy about Rani breaking up with him. Callum thinks he's being ridiculous, but Bailey decides that he's going to do the assignment on his own, as they're getting marked separately anyway. Bailey then leaves.

Harold's Store: Sonya is buying a drink, and overhears a very happy Chris taking a phonecall. He tells Sonya that he's been given time off work to go to Hudson's hearing, and Sonya wishes him luck with it all. As he leaves, he passes Susan, who tells Sonya that Gem got the job. Sonya is delighted, and asks what finally convinced Susan to give Gem the job - Susan explains that, other than Toadie and Sonya's recommendations, it was the way she handled Callum's situation with Bailey, as the rapport with the students is a very important part of the job. She adds that Gem seems very intent on a career in the city, which is also good, but this surprises Sonya.

Lassiter's Complex: Sheila is walking towards the bar, when she spots the same man with his camera, taking her photograph. She goes over and angrily asks if he's been following her. He has no idea what she's talking about, but she grabs him camera and finds a photo of herself on there, so she smashes the camera on the ground. She then tells him to leave her alone, and walks off.

No 30 - Georgia's Bedroom: Gem is trying to choose an outfit for her night out, when Georgia comes in and says that she called Gem's mum, before handing the phone over. Georgia gives them some privacy, and Gem starts talking to Coral, who is clearly worried about her. Gem says that she 'didn't do those things' and that it's not too soon for her to start a new job, before saying that people seem to like her in Erinsborough and she wants this opportunity for a fresh start.

Charlie's: Sheila is on the phone, trying to speak to Matt. As she waits to speak to him, Chris is making sure that Sheila got the right man, though even Sheila is starting to have her doubts, though she points out that she caught him following her twice today. Kelly then comes in, with the photographer, who identifies Sheila - Kelly approaches Sheila and says that this man has reported her for smashing his camera. Sheila says that the man has been following her around since last week, but Kelly explains that he was overseas until yesterday, and that he's a mature age photography student, with Sheila just happening to be in one of his shots. Kelly then asks Sheila to come back to the station with her.
