Recap
• Chris explaining to Paige and Brennan that he doesn't understand Nate's reaction to the stranger at the picnic
• Susan telling Chris she believes Nate is a decent person
• Georgia going into hospital for surgery and coughing up blood after having a reaction to the operation

Erinsborough Hospital: Kyle is anxiously awaiting news of Georgia. Chris tries to reassure Kyle, but Kyle replies that Chris doesn't know she will be ok after she was bleeding following the operation. Nate points out that the blood was bright red, therefore oxygenated, which is probably a good sign. Just then, Susan arrives and Chris explains what happened to Georgia. Nate crouches down next to Kyle to calm him down, saying that Georgia probably just burst some stitches and that Kyle should take a deep breath and count slowly. Karl comes over and says that the wound reopened and that it is being dealt with. He adds that Georgia is expected to be in recovery in about an hour's time. Karl rushes off to see other patients and Nate suggests Kyle tidy Georgia's room for when she gets back. Susan leads Kyle away and Chris thanks Nate, who explains that keeping busy will make the wait go more quickly.

Harold's Store: In the kitchen, Daniel drops the keys to Hermione into Amber's hands. She wonders whether Imogen is being nice or whether she is reaching out. Daniel says he doesn't know, but points out the improved relationship between Amber and Paige. Amber thinks she got Paige wrong and realises she has called Paige her sister. Daniel says that sisters are awesome and explains he can't wait for her to meet his, although Amber says it isn't likely anytime soon as uni preferences are due and she will be locked into study. Daniel suggests she defers entry onto her chosen course but Amber is unsure about a gap year, although Daniel points out they could go travelling wherever the will takes them. He encourages them both to ditch work for the afternoon so they can start researching prices online. Paul arrives and Daniel calls him over, saying he is not working that afternoon. Paul asks if he has forgotten the dental conference and tells Daniel that spending time with A,ber will have to wait as he can't let the event organisers down.

Erinsborough Hospital: Kyle asks Georgia if she was trying to give him a heart attack and reassures Georgia he will stay with her for as long as it takes. He explains that he doesn't know what he would do without Georgia but says that at least now she is in recovery he won't have to find out.

Harold's Store: Daniel gets off the phone and tells Paul that he has managed to get cover for his shift and asks a reluctant Paul what his problem is. Paul says that he has a problem with Daniel's attitude because he is not being reliable which is key to building a successful brand. Daniel admits he has different priorities to Paul and states that Amber is where he wants to be. He goes, telling Amber to text him when he is ready. Paul sits down and tells Amber he wants her to change Daniel's mind so that Daniel will be able to achieve important things in the future. He points out that Amber must understand that and adds that is the reason he wants her to talk to Daniel. Amber is unsure, but Paul urges her to think about it before deciding whether she wants to talk to Daniel about it or not.

The Waterhole: Toadie and Brennan are playing pool. Meanwhile, Nate and Chris head over to the bar: they are immediately stopped by Toadie who asks how Georgia is. Chris explains that the problem has been corrected and, overhearing the conversation, Susan checks that there has been no more bleeding. Chris confirms there hasn't been and Toadie suggests a round in Georgia's honour. Nate goes to buy the round and tells a reluctant Chris to go and be with his friends as Chris has had a stressful day. Toadie calls Chris over to the pool table and Susan points out to Chris that Nate is pretty useful to have around in a crisis. Chris admits he is, and thanks Susan for her advice about Nate the other day. Susan thinks Nate needs good people around him: Brennan asks Susan why she thinks that and Susan replies that everyone does.

Lassiter's Hotel: In the foyer, Amber arrives to find Daniel working. She takes him to one side and says that she has been thinking about what Paul said and believes that he might be right. Daniel thinks that Paul is being Paul but Amber tells him that it wouldn't be such a bad thing to give the afternoon a miss. She says that they can still be romantic even if they honour their work commitments. Daniel is not impressed and snaps that Amber doesn't want to be romantic that day but Amber replies that they need to consider Paul's feelings. Daniel wonders if Paul has been getting at her: Amber admits Paul did speak to her and Daniel storms off back to work, saying it is bad enough his uncle wants to change him let alone his girlfriend trying to do the same.

Erinsborough Hospital: Karl thanks nurse Sandra for sorting Georgia out so quickly and asks her to thank Jessica Girdwood for her help too. Sandra tries to leave in a hurry to attend to other patients causing Karl to ask if he is missing something. Sandra tells Karl that she is not the person to speak to, but Karl points out that she was in the operating theatre and has seen may of the procedures before. Karl tells Sandra that Jessica had said the operation went smoothly and the wound could have opened up on anyone but Sandra says it is not her place to comment on surgeons and tells Karl everything will be in the theatre report before rushing off.

Harold's Store: Amber is complaining to Bailey about how full her work schedule is. Bailey points out she has some time available for study: Amber retorts that there is no time for spontaneity. bailey teases Amber that there is- it is between "never going to happen" and "good luck with that". Bailey says the rota will have to stand for now as Lauren has spent so long making it. Amber is annoyed that Lauren didn't speak to her about it and wonders what to do about it. Bailey tells Amber to deal with it: Amber feigns stomach cramps and tells Bailey to cover for her, departing even though Bailey informs her that her schedule is not his problem.

Number 32: Amber comes home and starts packing a rucksack.

Erinsborough Hospital: Kyle tells Georgia he has prepared her favourite playlist just in case hospital TV gets boring, putting an iPod in front of her. He also hands over a load of magazines as he admits he wasn't sure which ones she liked. Georgia writes "so sweet" on her iPad as Karl comes in. He tells Georgia he is keeping her in for a few more days, decreasing the pain relief and prescribing a course of post-operative antibiotics. Kyle wonders what he can do to help and Karl asks him to keep up the love and support. Toadie jokes that 'smothering' might be a better word. Kyle says that he is scared and wonders why the wound opened up the way it did. Georgia admits she is too by writing "I'm spooked too" on the iPad. Karl says he understands. Toadie asks if it is common; Karl replies that it isn't but that it is not unheard of. Kyle points out it is behind them now. Karl says that it is, thanks goodness, although Georgia looks worriedly at Karl.

Lassiter's Hotel: Amber walks over to Daniel and asks if he is ready. Daniel wonders what for and Amber says adventure, romance and spontaneity, curious if Daniel can handle it. Daniel says that he can and that he is ready for it. Amber calls the lift and pushes Daniel into it urging him to go and get changed out of his uniform.

The Waterhole: Nate, Chris and Brennan are playing pool. Chris goes off to the bar, leaving the other two alone. Brennan asks where Nate learned to play pool so well. Nate replies that it was nowhere special and Brennan says it was a good job there was no money on it. Brennan asks what Nate does for a job and Nate says that he is in between jobs. Brennan comments that Nate took down the stranger well the other day and wonders if Nate has been in many fights. Nate says he was defending himself and, after further questioning, explains he is from a mining town in WA. Brennan tries to find out why Nate left, although Nate remains vague. Chris comes back telling Nate to ignore Brennan as he is channeling his inner Veronica Mars! Brennan heads away from the pool table to make a phone call: he asks the person on the other end to see what they can find out about Nate Kinski and to let him know if anything turns up.

Somewhere in Erinsborough: Daniel and Amber are walking through the darkness, their way illuminated by a lamp. Amber says they are at the best kept secret of Erinsborough, very close to a swimming hole with a waterfall. Daniel asks Amber what changed her mind and Amber explains that what Daniel said earlier was true. Daniel apologises for upsetting Amber earlier and Amber says that, although Paul was right, her heart led her back to Daniel. Daniel says that he packed so fast he didn't bring swimwear. Amber asks that the upside to spontaneity is that they don't need them!

Erinsborough Hospital: Kyle bursts into Georgia's room carrying a laptop and some bedding. Georgia writes "kitchen sink?" on her iPad and Kyle says he is trying to make Georgia feel at home. He tells Toadie that he has decided to move into Number 30 as he can look after Georgia full time when she is discharged from the hospital. Toadie tries to say that he and Sonya will be able to handle it, although Georgia has written "do you mind?" and shows it to Toadie. Toadie admits he doesn't and Kyle goes to fetch some ice cream for Georgia. Toadie follows him out of the room and asks Kyle if he thinks he is going a little overboard with things. Kyle thinks he may be, but says he wants to make things right as he was the one that encouraged Georgia to have the surgery in the first place. Toadie tries to say it isn't Kyle's fault but Kyle thinks it is and says that while at Number 30, he intends to cook every meal for the household.

Harold's Store: Bailey is struggling with the workload and drops food on the floor just as Susan comes in, who helps Bailey pick it up. Bailey offers Susan something on the house: she goes over to the refrigerators and is immediately approached by Brennan, who explains that Nate wiped the floor with him in pool. Brennan wonders if Nate said what he did for work and Susan replies that he didn't, wondering what Brennan has on his mind. Brennan explains that Nate's skills are unusual and that he is getting a weird vibe about things and that Nate is hiding something. Susan confesses that Nate confided in her why he is in the area and that she isn't going to betray Nate's confidence. She tells Brennan he has nothing to worry about. Brennan replies that he hopes Susan is correct.

The Waterhole: Paul is telling Karl about his earlier run-in with Daniel and Amber. Paul tells Karl that Daniel is a good kid and has a good head and heart, explaining that Daniel will do well, especially now he is with Amber. Paul adds that Amber is actually good for Daniel. Paul reveals to Karl that Amber will be able to rein Daniel in and that he doesn't want to lose Daniel. Karl urges Paul not to try and steer Daniel's course: Paul says he doesn't need to because Amber is on side to do it for him. Meanwhile, by a campfire, Amber says that she wants the earlier fight with Daniel to be their last. Daniel tells Amber that he will be right beside her, no matter what choices she makes about going to uni. Amber lets Daniel know that she has decided she wants to take a gap year and wants to go travelling with him.

Somewhere in Erinsborough: Walking along, Chris apologises to Nate for Brennan's questions. He suggests they go for a drink. After a considerable pause, Nate agrees, walking on ahead of Chris.

Number 28: Susan is tidying up when she spots Nate's bag. Peering inside, she notices a large hunting knife.
