Recap
• Chris drops something at the garage and Danni tells him she would be negligent if she let him go back to work now
• Nate tells Josh to stop trying to help Chris
• Susan starts having nightmares about the stories Nate is telling her whilst she is counselling him
• Toadie receives a poison pen letter about Sonya and shows Brennan to help discover who it is
• Brennan then receives one of the letters about Sonya too

Lassiter's Lake: Brennan shows Toadie the letter he received. They discuss possible people who could be writing the letters and Toadie mentions that Naomi is the only one who has had access to a file with all this information about Sonya, during the time she worked for him. Brennan has ruled her out though. As the contents of the letters relate to things that happened years ago they think it will be someone from Sonya’s past and decide now might be the time to call her sister, Jade.

Number 30: Chris, Nate, Georgia, Kyle, Sonya and Nell are carving pumpkins under the instruction of Nate. They notice that Chris is doing well with his pumpkin and Nate says he is glad he pushed him to do the extra rehab; Chris agrees he is grateful for that. Sonya decides to do smiley pumpkins rather than evil ones as she doesn’t want to scare the kids, and says that can’t wait to dress up Nell for Halloween. Nate leaves and just before he goes Chris asks if he will be staying at his tonight but Nate avoids the question. Georgia makes a comment about how cute Nate and Chris are as a couple but Chris clearly has something on his mind.

Harold's Store: Nate is talking through more of his memories with Susan. She is happy he can open up more now but seems upset when Nate says he thinks it will take a long time to get over this stuff. He notices and mentions that Susan doesn’t seem her normal sparky self and she makes a joke of it. A can rolls across the floor and Nate picks it up then goes on to tell Susan a story from his time in Afghanistan about how they never picked rubbish up as it could have something hidden inside. He tells Susan his ability to pick up the can is a big deal and it is all down to her. She looks upset again and is clearly troubled by his story.

Number 26 - Back Garden: Chris and Georgia are still scooping out pumpkins. Chris tells Georgia that Nate hasn’t stayed over since the accident and asks her advice. Chris is worried that Nate sees him as a patient but Georgia tells him to be direct with him and let him know how he feels.

Harold's Store: Nate and Susan are finishing up their conversation when Susan mentions she is having some “me” time this afternoon and has the time off work. Nate thanks Susan and tells her he really thinks this is helping him. Susan advises him to take baby steps with Chris and start opening up to him. Nate tells her again how thankful he is and that he has been to countless psychotherapists and they just haven’t got it before, but he feels that she understands. Nate gets the bill as a thank you and Susan leaves.

Lassiter's Complex: Susan sees a can on the floor and as she goes to pick it up she stops herself, remembering Nate’s story.

Ramsay Street: Toadie pulls up and sees a kid putting something in his letterbox. He jumps out of the car and grabs the kid, demanding he tell him his name and what he was doing. Bryce was only trying to play a Halloween trick. Toadie tells him to go away, as Brennan walks over. Toadie tells Brennan how the poison pen letters are doing his head in and making him aggressive. He spoke to Jade and she was no help. Brennan advises Toadie to tell Sonya as it is getting out of control now and who knows who else on the street is getting the letters.

Number 26 - Living Room: Georgia is setting up candles for Chris and Nate. Kyle comes in and starts throwing flower petals around as Georgia puts some romantic music on. Chris is sceptical about this working and voices his concern just as Nate comes in. Georgia and Kyle make a quick exit and Chris tries to kiss Nate but he doesn’t understand the candles are for him. Nate says they’re a fire hazard and then suggests they go for a kick of the football to help with Chris’s muscles, leaving Chris looking dejected.

Erinsborough Hospital: Susan has come for her counselling appointment and bumps into Karl. Clearly he doesn’t know about it as she makes up an excuse as to why she is there. Susan can’t lie to Karl though.

Erinsborough Hospital: In one of the examination rooms, Susan tells Karl what has been happening since she began counselling Nate and that she can’t get his stories out of her head. Karl doesn’t want Susan to continue with Nate as it is starting to affect her. Susan argues with him about it and says she feels that Nate needs her more than ever but Karl thinks she shouldn’t make herself ill and Nate needs to see a professional. Karl is still against the idea but Susan wants him to leave it and puts up a good argument as to why she will continue counselling Nate.

Number 30: Sonya is chatting about Halloween when Toadie tells her that something has been going on and he didn’t want to have to tell her but now he needs to. Sonya is worried and wants to know what has been happening - he explains about the letters and that he and Brennan have received them. He shows her the letters leaving her wondering who would want to dredge the past up like this.

Number 30: Toadie explains how he has spoken to Jade but she couldn’t think who it could be. Sonya doesn’t know who would hold that kind of grudge against her. Toadie goes through his thought process and who he has suspected and eliminated. When Sonya asks if Toadie has spoken to the police he admits he hasn’t but that was because Brennan said a crime hasn’t been committed. Toadie thinks they should call the police now though but Sonya is reluctant as it means that Matt will find out about her past. She can’t believe someone hates her this much, but Toadie reassures her that they will find the culprit.

Number 26 - Kitchen: Chris and Nate come back inside from their football session. Nate gets them a couple of beers, but Chris makes him put them back and tells him that if he needs anything he will get it. Nate pours him water instead. Chris finally tells Nate he was trying to be romantic, and he doesn’t want him to play nurse all the time. Nate had no idea about it but he tells Chris he feels differently about him now and just wants to look after him as he feels responsible for him. They are interrupted by a knock at the door; Karl lets himself in even though Chris tells him to go away. He needs to talk to Nate and won’t leave.

The Waterhole: Susan comes to meet Nate after getting a message from him. He tells her he knows about her seeing a counsellor. She is cross with Karl as she had told him not to mention it to Nate. They are interrupted by Sheila offering them a Witch’s Cauldron martini (whilst dressed as a witch). They both decline and she leaves. Nate tells Susan he can’t see her go through the same issues as him so he is going to look for someone else to talk to, a professional. Susan starts to argue against it but he won’t take no for an answer leaving Susan speechless.

Number 30 - Living Room: Toadie is taking a picture of Nell as she is dressed as a pumpkin. Sonya gets off the phone to the police, they can’t do anything. Toadie starts talking about how Nell will get lots of sweets and she has to give some to him but Sonya is distracted and starts leafing through the poison pen letters again. She doesn’t want to go out as she is worried about the author of the letters. They decide to stay in instead but Sonya still looks anxious.

Erinsborough Hospital: Susan comes to give Karl a telling off. Karl is glad that Nate fired her, she needs to rest with her MS and Karl needed to make the choice for her because he loves her and he feels strongly about it. Susan admits she can sometimes be stubborn but just wanted to help him. Karl thinks he has the solution to help her get through it - he has spent some of his $7000 winnings on a new bed, some flowers for the garden, community funds and a donation to the MS charity on behalf of Susan. Susan is so proud of him. When he mentions there is a tax deduction she is happy that some of the old Karl is back, and she forgives him for interfering.

Number 26 - Back Garden: Chris has just got off the phone when he sees the light in the garden flickering. As he looks at it his eyes start to close and he falls to the ground, having a seizure.
