Written by Christine McCourt, Directed by Paul Moloney, Produced by John Holmes

Clive takes Charlene into his house despite her pleas that she’ll be late for school. Clive asks Daphne to stay and tells her about Charlene’s request. Clive tells Charlene he could not give her the pill anyway as he’s not a practicing Doctor. Daphne suggests Charlene asks the boy involved to go with her the family planning centre. After Charlene leaves Daphne tells Clive she feels sorry for Charlene.

Out in Ramsay Street, Charlene meets Nikki and tells her she went to see Clive about going onto the pill. Nikki is horrified and tells her she thinks Scott will dump her after they’ve had sex. Charlene retorts that Scott loves her. Nikki replies Charlene will end up being called a slut.

At Lassiter’s Lake, Scott tells Charlene he loves her but refuses to go to the family planning clinic when asked.

Outside Jack’s caravan, Madge brings Shane his lunch while he’s gardening. Jack asks her to stay and have a coffee with him. Madge agrees explaining she’s on her way to buy some new clothes for Charlene.

At the Coffee Shop, Daphne questions whether Clive should be helping Shane with the gardening. But he gives her an excuse not to be there. Madge comes in and asks how his chat with Charlene went – Clive urges her to listen more to Charlene.

In Ramsay Street, after school, Scott, Charlene, Nikki and Mike walk home. Scott wants to miss diving practice to be with Charlene again but Charlene refuses, telling him she won’t risk losing her job again. Scott wants to be alone with her but Charlene reminds him there is no where to go.

At the Robinson house, Nikki and Mike arrive to find Jim working. He tells them Lucy is feeling a lot better and asks after Scott and Charlene’s whereabouts. Nikki & Mike say nothing.

At the Ramsay house, Shane arrives home from work but is feeling miserable. Madge tells Shane she intends to talk to Charlene on her level about her relationship with Scott. Charlene arrives home and Madge asks her daughter to sit down. Madge explains she fears Charlene is in too deep with Scott and it will lead to her getting a reputation as cheap. Charlene asks if she has spoken to Clive and when Madge replies ‘yes’, Charlene believes Clive has told her about the pill. Charlene storms off out of the house.

Back at number 26, Scott, Nikki and Mike are doing their homework. Scott decides to call Paul and ask him to borrow an hotel room to study in peace and quiet. Paul agrees.

Later, Scott tells Charlene he’s get a hotel room for them to go to. Nikki & Mike overhear but are unimpressed but agree to cover where they are if asked.

At number 24, Tom and Shane have a beer while Madge explains her argument with Charlene. Tom asks her about Jack and she explains they’ll only ever be friends despite the flowers. Tom tells her she should chase Jack as life can be too lonely.

At the Robinson house, Nikki cannot concentrate on her schoolwork and tells Mike she never wants to be pressured into sleeping with him. Jim and Paul arrive home and Nikki lies telling them Scott and Charlene are at the library.

Outside the hotel, Jack is suspicious when Scott & Charlene arrive telling him Paul has given them a room to study – especially when they have no books.

In the room, Charlene & Scott relax on the bed. Charlene asks Scott if he’s ever slept with a girl and Scott brags of course. But when Charlene reveals she has slept with a guy, Scott becomes angry. Charlene explains she really did love the guy but Scott reacts as though she was promiscuous. Scott leaves the room and Charlene is desperately upset.
