Jack catches Scott running out of the hotel when Paul hurriedly arrives and demands to know where Charlene is. Scott tells him she in the room. Paul warns him he will talk to him later about lying. AS Paul leaves to find Charlene, Jack warns Scott he’s in trouble.

Paul enters his room to find Charlene crying. She tells Paul that Scott promised he loved her and now he looks at her as though she is cheap. She cannot understand why it is okay for him to have slept with someone but not not for her. Paul tells her she cannot find love in a hotel room and in time Scott will realise how bad he’s behaved.

At number 22, Madge asks to see Clive and that she’d like to know what Charlene wanted to talk to him about. Clive tells her he cannot break Charlene’s confidence but convinces her to go over to the Robinson’s to talk to her.

At the Robinson house, Nikki tells Mike that Scott is going to get into serious trouble if Jim finds out about what he’s done. Jim overhears and demands to know what is going on. Nikki reluctantly tells him what Scott has done but Jim is angry too at Paul for lending out his room.

Back at Lassiter’s, Paul is comforting Charlene when Jack interrupts who tells them Scott has gone home. Paul suggests they go home too but Charlene says she cannot and going home to Madge is out of the question. Paul tells her she could go back to No.24 if Madge doesn’t find out about tonight.

Back at number 26, Jim finishes talking to his business partner Ross Warner when Madge knocks on the door. She asks to see Charlene but is horrified to learn from Jim what has happened.
Scott enters the house and is immediately questioned by Jim and Madge to what has been going on.

Later, Scott explains they only went there to be alone and nothing happened as they argued. Jim believes Scott’s story but Madge isn’t happy. Scott is unhappy at Nikki telling on him but she reminds him Paul found out without being told. Jim learns Scott left Paul to sort out his problems with Charlene – Madge asks Jim to drive her over to the hotel.

At number 28, Clive tells Des he’s got some tickets for him at $A60 to take Daphne to see Jean – Paul the French singer. Clive gives Des a French text book to learn from.

At number 26, Madge wants Charlene to move back in with her despite Scott’s protests of his innocence. Paul arrives with Charlene and Madge immediately leaves with her. Jim accuses Paul of helping Scott but apologises on hearing the real story. Paul takes Scott to Lassiters to talk.

At the Ramsay house, Madge accuses Charlene of not having any morals while Tom is angry at Paul for giving Scott the hotel key. Charlene tells them she wants to go back to Coffs Harbour while Tom decides to go and see Scott.

Back at the Robinson house, Des calls in to see Jim but Tom bursts in and blames Scott’s actions on Jim’s example of him & Zoe. Outraged Jim throws Tom out of the house.

At Lassiter’s, Paul cannot understand Scott’s reasoning for leaving Charlene alone in the room. Scott explains he left because Charlene was not a virgin. Paul tells Scott he has destroyed Charlene’s pride and to grow up!

At number 22, Clive, Daphne, Mike and Nikki are playing charades when Des arrives with news of Jim and Tom’s bust up. Clive seizes the chance to leave Des & Daphne to talk and goes to get a French take-away.

At the Ramsay house, Madge continues to tell Charlene off at the dinner table telling her girls with no morals end up pregnant. Charlene retorts back that she would never have kids if she treated them as Madge does. Madge tells her she doesn’t know what she’s talking about.
Charlene astounds her and Tom when she admits she was pregnant once but it was taken care of.
