It was a week that began with a wedding and ended with an attempted murder…

The big day finally arrived for Stuart and Sindi, with the latter proving to be the epitome of a nervous bride. With glimpses of the old, neurotic Sindi shining through, she managed to get herself into a frenzy on the morning of the wedding, even becoming stressed about leaving a handkerchief at home which was supposed to be her ‘something old’. Meanwhile, Toadie was running late for church when he decided to take another look at the shot of the mystery redhead at the club. Zooming in on the mirror in the background, he finally had conclusive proof that Sindi had been at the club and he was about to leave to show Stu when he fell, banging his head and knocking himself out. As he lay on the floor, a mystery person walked in and took all of the evidence. A desperate Toadie burst into the church anyway, hoping that he’d be able to talk Stuart into calling off the wedding. However, he only received a punch in the mouth for his efforts and the wedding concluded. The happy couple set off on honeymoon as Toadie enlisted Bree’s computer geek pal Penny to help him find the deleted photo on the computer. Meanwhile, at the holiday resort, Sindi was relaxed and even talking about moving from Erinsborough to the country, when she spotted her hypnotherapist, Byron. She quickly pulled him aside and it became clear that he was actually a musician and the hypnotism had all been a scam to garner sympathy from Stu. She warned him to leave the place before he destroyed her marriage, even threatening his mother in the process. Things only got worse for Sindi when Toadie arrived with the incriminating photo. As they spoke in her room, she began to have flashbacks to all of the “accidents”, involving Liljana, Janae and Susan, that she’d deliberately caused. As Toadie then left the room to find Stuart and show him the photo, a desperate Sindi chased him and pushed him down the stairs. Although many viewers have been unhappy with the direction of Sindi’s character in recent months, it’s certainly been a cleverly plotted story from start to finish. As it now draws to a close, viewers have only just received confirmation that Sindi actually is responsible for the terrible things that have been happening and it seems that she’s taken things too far this time.

At the school, Susan received a visit from irate parent, Alex Kinski, parent to new students, Rachel and Zeke. Alex was upset to hear about teacher Paul Robinson’s involvement with the police and had decided to take his children out of the school. Susan managed to talk him ‘round, but Alex wasn’t the only person who had a problem with Paul. When Izzy’s car was found abandoned in the middle of nowhere with blood on the front seats, the police began an investigation into her disappearance. Although Max insisted that vanishing was something that Izzy did on a regular basis, word quickly came in that Karl had threatened Izzy only hours before she was last seen at the bar. Before long, Karl had mentioned Izzy’s involvement with Paul and statements from the bar staff made it clear that Paul was the last person to see her alive. With the police on his back, things only got worse when Izzy’s solicitor, Steve Chisholm, turned up and warned Paul that if Izzy wasn’t found soon, he’d have to open an envelope she gave him, which contained incriminating information on Paul’s past crimes. And so, with blackmail and a police investigation hanging over his head, Paul decided that he had little option but to do a runner and track Izzy down himself…

Elsewhere, it was Sky’s 18th birthday, and both she and her father were working on their love lives. Sky invited the whole Timmins family to the fancy dress party, which was themed around ‘what you wanted to be when you grew up’, but was disappointed as it looked like Dylan wouldn’t be attending. Things only got worse when Dylan witnessed an excited Sky receive a birthday gift from Lana and she assumed from his sudden change in attitude that he was homophobic. As Serena and Stingray attempted to get Dylan and Sky back together, Sky decided that Dylan wasn’t worth the effort any longer. However, the next morning, she was surprised when he approached her in the street, dressed as a cowboy, and gave her a new list, of all the girls he’d ever loved, with only Sky’s name on it. It did the trick and the couple were soon back together. Meanwhile, Joe was determined to win over Lyn, but Janelle was equally determined to make sure her landlady’s new man was worth the effort. As Joe and Janelle both got drunk at Sky’s party and woke up next to each other on the couch the next morning, Janelle took the opportunity to try a little test. Before Joe woke up, she put some lipstick around his lips, then told him that he’d been all over her the night before. Janelle owned up to Lyn about what she’d done and announced that if Joe came over and told the truth, he’d make a worthy boyfriend. Luckily for Joe, he did own up and, despite a few reservations from Dylan and Sky, it looked like Joe and Lyn were about to become Ramsay Street’s next supercouple.

Also at number 26 this week, Janelle was determined to clear her own debt without forcing her kids to work, and she set about finding a second job. However, even with the entire Timmins clan on the case, there seemed to be no work. Meanwhile, Stingray finally snapped when Go-Go brought him back to work for one shift then told him that there was no more work for him. After quitting, Stingray decided to get his own back by setting up a Timmins family courier service. Although nobody was particularly taken with the idea, it seemed to be the only one they had…

Finally this week, Janae announced to Karl that she’d decided how to spend her $5000 win from Stupid Aussies – by having cosmetic surgery, Serena grew jealous when Connor picked up a girl at Stu and Sindi’s wedding reception, whilst Max and Steph finally accepted that they were never going to have a child of their own and started to move on…
