Elle McPherson, Tom Jones and the departure of Gail Robinson, more big names than you can shake a stick at in Erinsborough this week…

Max & Steph’s second wedding anniversary ended in disaster when Max accidentally backed his car into Katya whilst talking on the phone to Steph, but failed to inform the police of that part of the incident. However, with Katya admitting that she was at fault, the doctors began to suspect that it wasn’t an accident and kept her in hospital for psychological assessment.

Karl’s news left Sky reeling and she asked to go home. Reluctantly, Karl agreed and reminded her that she had a lot of friends and family to support her and advised her to talk to them for support, but as Sky turned to him for support, Karl suggested that she speak to a counsellor instead as he was compromised by his involvement with the others involved. Later, Sky turned up at the hospital desperate to talk to Karl and whilst he tried to stop her, Sky revealed that Stingray was the father and begged for his support. Reluctantly, Karl agreed, but as Susan struggled to cope with rebellious Rachel, Karl accidentally let slip that Stingray would end up hurting her and his sudden backtracking left Susan demanding that he tell her what he knew. As Karl refused to break his Hippocratic oath, Susan began to put the pieces of the puzzle together and soon realised that what Karl was hiding involved Sky and worked out that Stingray was the father of her baby. As Susan tried to tell Stingray she struggled to find the words, much to Karl’s relief, but when Zeke shared his worries that he would lose Katya and Rachel (who had now moved to number 30), Susan decided to write a letter to Stingray revealing what she knew and went over to number 26 to post it.

Sky was touched when Harold gave her the present from ‘Dylan’, an expensive graphic design program, and the grandfather called around to thank him for it. As Elle & Janelle questioned a confused Dylan, the sight of Bree quietly slipping away spoke volumes, but whilst Janelle congratulated her, Dylan & Elle were less than pleased. Meanwhile, Toadie presented Janelle with a settlement figure of $27,000 from the DVD distribution company, but whilst it was less than initially stated, there was still no way that Janelle could afford to pay up. After overhearing Janelle, Bree, Boyd & Janae talking outside The General Store, Elle offered to settle the debt, on the condition that Janelle support her relationship with Dylan, but with Janelle suddenly supporting Elle, Bree became suspicious.

The newly-released Cameron Robinson soon proved that he was the womaniser that Elle had made him out to be when he ended up chatting to a woman he met whilst at a restaurant for a family dinner. However as Paul introduced himself to his son’s new friend, Lilly, it was easy to see from where he got it and fed up of Gail & Izzy’s constant bickering, Paul came up with a plan to put an end to it once and for all. Later that night when Lyn called around to number 22 to explain that Paul had been caught up in a business meeting, Izzy soon realised that something else was going on and she, Gail & Cameron headed down to Lassiter’s to find him and were shocked to discover him in bed with Lilly. The next morning, much to Izzy’s delight, Gail announced that she was leaving, but not before telling Paul to seek professional help before it was too late.

Meanwhile, as Elle and Cameron enjoyed the good life, Paul was preoccupied by the news that the baby belt design infringed a patent that was lodged years ago and stood to lose everything; Izzy suggested that Paul set Lyn up for the fall. Whilst he was initially unsure, Paul soon realised Izzy was onto something and promoted Lyn to ‘Managing Director of New Projects’ with a 100% pay-rise but despite initially wanting to have the contract checked out by a lawyer, Lyn decided to trust Paul and signed on the dotted line there and then.

Lou found a phone outside of The General Store and was shocked to learn that the phone’s owner was one, Elle MacPherson. Planning to use the opportunity to raise the money to go to Russia, Lou used his winnings from the “Dancing Toad” photograph competition to buy Elle MacPherson posters and products to get her to sign, which he could then sell on for a great profit. However, when ‘The Body’ arrived, Harold & Lou were shocked to see a very different looking Elle MacPherson standing on their doorstep. After talking to her, and apologising for the misunderstanding, the pair were worried to hear that she really did think that she was the supermodel. Not one to miss out on making a quick buck, Lou took advantage of the situation and kept ‘Ms. MacPherson’ entertained signing autographs. Later, as Elle’s “chauffeur” Tom turned up to collect her and told Harold & Lou that if they bumped into ‘Elle’ again they should call him, and handed Lou his card. Reading it, Lou & Harold were amused to see that his name was Tom Jones; however, he pointed out that “It’s not unusual.”

Janae & Boyd were shocked to discover that someone had posted their address on her blog, and tried to hide it from Toadie, however, when people started turning up on their doorstep with cameras looking for “Dancing Toad”, he was quick to point the finger at Janae and told her to stop the blog. However, Janae refused and was thrilled when her hits went through the roof and her ‘Dancing Toad’ t-shirt sales, but little did she know it was because Toadie had placed a hidden camera in the bathroom. Upon checking the site to make sure Boyd was studying enough, Max was shocked at what he saw and told a furious Janae, who vowed revenge on her cousin, but Max managed to convince the newly-weds that they wouldn’t win a war against Toadfish Rebecchi, so Boyd and Janae finally put an end to the blog.

Also this week, Carmella introduced Ned to Hayley, a sick child at the hospital who needed help with her singing. As Hayley struggled to find her voice, Carmella suggested that Ned go and get her some water, and Hayley revealed that she was in awe of Ned, but once ‘Sister Mary Catherine’ explained that Ned was just as nervous as she was, Hayley plucked up the courage to start singing and the three sang ‘Amazing Grace’ together. However, it soon became clear that Ned was more interested in coaching Carmella than Hayley and set about turning her into a recording artist. After much persuading, Carmella reluctantly agreed, but later ordered Toadie to make sure that the recording disappeared.
