As Neighbours celebrated 20 years on UK screens…

Susan struggled to cope with the guilt of what she’d done, but in the end had no doubts that she’d done the best thing for Rachel. After admitting her actions to Karl, he was furious and headed over to number 26 to intercept it. After spotting the unopened letter on the coffee table, Karl told Stingray that he wanted him to create an instructional health video for his waiting room he tried to distract him so he could get a chance to grab it. As he did so however, Stingray caught him and as he Janelle, Rachel & Bree tried to find out what was going on, Karl snatched the letter off then and escaped out of the back door. After climbing over the fence to number 28, Karl berated Susan for her actions and reminded her that it was up to Sky to tell Stingray, not her. The next day, Janelle & the kids set about trying to find out what the letter was about, and after hearing from Zeke that Karl & Susan had argued the previous night, Rachel checked Susan’s notepad and discovered that she had written the letter, but could only make out “Dear Stingray” imprinted in the next page. The kids then concluded that the letter was an attempt from Susan to break up Rachel and Stingray, and Karl had disagreed with what Susan had done. However, as Janelle continued to question Karl, he was forced to lie and tell her that the letter was to Stingray asking advice on what to do over his feelings for her, much to her dismay, and Karl’s amusement. Later, Karl confronted Susan and asked if they could get back together and if she’d let him be guardian to Rachel & Zeke too, but when Susan couldn’t give him an answer either way, Karl took it to mean no. Meanwhile, as Rachel grew annoyed at being treated like a child by everyone she asked Stingray if they could go on some more mature dates. However, as she changed her mind, Stingray questioned her attitude towards Susan and their relationship and pointed out that people treat her like a child because she behaves like one, leaving the teen fuming.

Also this week, Zeke focused on becoming a chess master, but as he ended up playing Karl in the final of the competition, he was annoyed when Karl tried to let him win explaining that his father wouldn’t have done that. As the two bonded over stories of playing chess with their fathers, Karl offered Zeke a rematch, this time with him playing properly. Meanwhile, Susan was worried about Katya as she refused to let any man get near her, except Max, so she asked him to keep visiting, but feeling guilty Max confessed to Katya that he was on the phone when he hit her and was surprised when she didn’t blame him for it. After hearing Carmella speaking Italian, Katya told Max that she wished that she could speak Tibetan, the language her mother spoke and he set about finding a class for her to attend, as she asked him to go with her.

Harold & Dylan bonded whilst fixing Sky’s car and her problems with keeping down food, whilst a visit to a palm reader left Sky worrying about her baby, after the mystic revealed that she saw “poison” that will affect her and her child. Later, after trying Dylan’s culinary efforts and seeing how much he cared for her, Sky admitted that she was scared that the baby was in danger. Dylan reassured Sky that the palm reader was just making it up as she went along. Meanwhile, after seeing the two of them together, Harold told Sky it was obvious that Dylan wanted to be with her, not Elle. Sky was worried when Karl asked her to have another ultrasound, and when Dylan saw her and Harold leaving to for it, he insisted he come along, as did Elle.. Elle was jealous of the amount of time Dylan was spending with Sky. At the hospital, Karl explained to the expectant parents that the original ultrasound found that the skin-folds on the back of the baby’s neck were thicker than usual, and that there was a chance that their baby could be born with a serious abnormality.

Max was annoyed at the way Paul was treating Izzy by flirting with other women, and as he ran up a big bill at Scarlet Bar, Max asked for payment before he ordered any more. Paul was shocked when a smug Max informed him that his card was rejected and even more so when he discovered at $27,000 payment on his credit card to ‘J. Timmins’. After hearing what her mother had done, Bree was furious and feeling guilty for hiding the money Kim had been sending, she went around to number 22 and offered Paul some money to ease his financial situation. Touched by Bree’s offer, Paul refused and explained that he would manage as the problem was only temporary. Paul’s week got worse before it got better however, when he took great pleasure in gloating to Harold that The General Store was going to fall down around him after he was asked for payment for a coffee upfront. He was furious when Harold took great pleasure in informing him that the building inspector he saw was a friend of Lou’s and the whole thing was cooked up by Mishka to get them the store back. Meanwhile, Cameron set out to get revenge on his father over Lily and won over a girl that Paul was coming onto, but the next day he became concerned when he started having flashbacks of things that happened whilst he was in the coma, and they tended to involve Carmella talking on the phone. As he questioned her, Carmella tried to hide what she knew and asked him to stop questioning her. Also, frustrated with the way Paul was treating her, Izzy realised that Paul had fallen out of love with her and moved back into number 32.

After she received a letter from the council complaining about noise pollution caused by her working on her bike at number 32, Steph set out to find the no good dirty dobber and when Toadie pointed out that the chief complainant used to be David Bishop, she became convinced that Harold must be to blame. Steph felt awful however, when she confronted her long-term neighbour when he explained that he had much more important things on his mind, such as Sky and her pregnancy. After talking to her mum and questioning her and Oscar, Steph thought Lyn was onto something when she suggested that Elle could be the dobber, but upon confronting her, Steph soon found herself offending yet another neighbour.

Meanwhile, when Boyd pointed out that Ramsay Street was like kryptonite to happy marriages, he was shocked when Janae suggested that they go for marriage counselling. As what would’ve been his third wedding anniversary approached, Toadie was aware of how single he was, however, he got a shock when the Police handed him Connor’s wallet which was found in Beijing and after talking to Robert became convinced that he was still alive. Finally, Lyn was horrified when she learnt that she was being sued over a patent infringement on the baby belt.
