House swapping and bed hopping in Ramsay Street this week…

As his feelings for Susan played on his mind, Karl struggled to sleep and when Dr. Levi offered him a product sample from one of his drug reps, a knock-out syrup, the exhausted G.P. was willing to try anything. As Steph made Izzy realise that Karl once loved her, Karl told Izzy about his problems sleeping and the pair shared their woes. As Karl nearly passed out from exhaustion on a stool at Scarlet Bar, Izzy escorted him home and after his ex-girlfriend accidentally gave him an overdose of the sleeping aid, Karl imagined that she was Susan and asked her to stay the night. The next morning after overhearing Karl on the phone to Susan, Izzy realised what had happened and heartbroken quietly collected her things and left before Karl could catch her, but she struggled to find her one of her earrings. Rachel was caught staying at number 30 by Toadie, who was dancing around the house naked and the traumatised teen soon found herself being carried back over to number 28. When Zeke pointed out Rachel’s selfishness over the past few weeks, particularly with what Katya was going through, the Kinski family stood united. Meanwhile, when Zeke cut himself badly whilst shaving for the first time, Susan & Rachel began to realise that perhaps they did need a man about the house after all and after Rachel spoke to Katya & Zeke, the three told Susan if she still wanted to be with Karl they wouldn’t stand in her way. Popping around to Karl’s apartment to explain her change of mind, Rachel caught him naked too, but just as things seemed to be going right for Karl, he realised that if Susan wasn’t with him the previous night, it must have been Izzy. Questioning his ex, Karl demanded to know exactly what happened between the two of them, but realising how much Karl wanted to be with Susan, a heartbroken Izzy lied and told him that she spent the night on the couch because she was worried about him. Relieved, Karl headed around to number 28 to explain everything to Susan. Wanting to celebrate the kids acceptance of their relationship, the pair were soon up to their old tricks again and shocked Harold who caught them about to go skinny-dipping in his pool.

Desperate to uncover the dobber, Steph kept a record of the comings and goings in Ramsay Street and upon talking to Toadie again turned her attentions to Zeke, but when Steph received another complaint though, her suspicions immediately turned to Boyd & Janae, who were the only two people in the street at the time of the call.

Meanwhile, Lyn & Steph were confounded over the baby belt patent infringement writ, but Steph was further lost for words when Lyn was more worried about Paul than herself. The mother soon had other things on her mind when she realised that Paul had set her up and she stood to lose everything, but still managed to stick up for her boss, much to Steph’s annoyance. Paul was impressed when Lyn revealed that despite what he thought, she still had papers that incriminated him just as much as her and the pair ended up in bed together in more ways than one. When Lyn revealed that it was Izzy’s idea to set her up for the fall, Steph threw her sister-in-law out of number 32, but as the eldest Scully child set out to visit her dad in Bendigo, Max relented and let his sister stay. Meanwhile, with Steph away, Max took the chance to teach Ned & Stingray that Generation X could out-party Generation Y any day.

Elle tried to push Dylan into convincing Sky to undergo the amniocentesis to determine whether or not the baby would have the birth defect, meanwhile though, Harold was trying to convince Sky that is wasn’t worth risking the baby’s life as a child born with health problems is just as worthy than any other. Despite their doubts, Sky & Dylan decided to go ahead with the test, but Sky was furious when Karl compared her lying to Dylan with Izzy’s lying to him, especially with Dylan blaming himself for the possible defect, due to the Wetlands poisoning. Meanwhile, as Elle went around making demands to Janelle, the Bogan mother took great pleasure in revealing that the only member of the family who didn’t know about her bribe was Dylan, and used Elle’s own bribe against her. In a bid to win Dylan’s attention, Elle told her boyfriend that Paul was seeking psychiatric help after her father suggested she create a problem for Dylan to help her with, but as Sky declared her love to Dylan, who felt the same, Paul suggested that he and Elle come up with a plan to win back Dylan’s heart.

Janae took a job at the hospital as a cleaner, leaving Boyd worried about them spending too much time together. When Harold, who was being treated for an in-growing hair, told them that he thought that his marriage to Madge was made stronger by them working together, Janae was determined she was doing the right thing and soon put the other staff members noses out of joint, thinking her relationship with Boyd put her higher up the food chain.

As Carmella enlisted Toadie’s help to get Ned to back off, the lawyer decided to use his naive housemate as a weapon of entrapment for the wife of one of his clients and employed him permanently, but not before Ned negotiated a 20% cut of the profits and an expense account. Meanwhile the nun revealed the reasons for new lifestyle to Cameron.

Finally this week, Bree met a blind girl called Anne, who claimed to be her biggest fan, but it seemed that she was more interested in finding out about the Timmins family than ‘The Bogan’s Tipped Hair’ and was puzzled by her mother’s reaction to meeting her new friend.
