It was a week filled with teasers and traumas, posing many questions…

After receiving some shocking news from a doctor, Izzy stopped looking out for number one and joined Sister Mary Catherine on her rounds at the soup kitchen and the hospital, but what was the diagnosis?

With Lyn and himself looking set to lose the patent infringement case, Paul suggested that they break into the enemy’s office to steal files with which they could blackmail them. However, Lyn’s morals got the better of her and she purposely set off the alarm, leaving the pair fleeing the scene. Meanwhile, Paul realised he didn’t have the respect of the Ramsay Street residents when Boyd laughed at a threat he made, whilst Cameron was horrified to learn that Paul & Elle had concocted her illness to win Dylan back and disowned them.

Steph was furious to learn about Katya’s feelings for Max from Susan, and that Max hadn’t told her and worried that they might be having an affair. As Toadie took Ned’s advice to move on from the past and the House of Trouser, he found himself spending more and more time with Steph, whilst Max was becoming closer and closer to Katya. Meanwhile, Katya was terrified when she received a letter from Robert and sought help from Max who checked with the prison and reassured her that Rob was safely locked away. Later though, Max was horrified to learn from Paul that Robert had escaped and worried about Katya, rang her and was shocked to learn that she was with ‘Cameron’, who had given her a lift to her Tibetan class. Max told her it was Robert and told her to run, as he raced to the scene and as ‘Cameron’ ran after Katya with her bag, Max arrived in his car and swerved to hit him. Robert was badly injured and rushed to hospital where Karl told Paul & Elle that his condition was critical. Later, as Elle rang to let Cameron know about the accident she was shocked when the bag of Robert’s possessions started ringing, and realised that it was Cameron and not Robert lying in the bed. After ringing the prison, Paul discovered that Robert hadn’t escaped and had just hidden from the guards. When Cameron later came around, he told an emotional Paul that he couldn’t feel his legs, and later made Sister Mary Catherine (Carmella) promise him that if he died she would find the baby – but what did he mean?

Ned decided to become a personal trainer and found himself becoming friends with Ms. Beaumont, a business-woman but soon became worried that his client was more interested in personal training of another manner. As Ned left Ms. Beaumont’s house, Janae arrived to visit her Nan, Loris. Just what was the Timmins’ grandmother up to, and how was Ned involved?

An over-the-limit Stingray drove a drunk Scarlet Bar customer home, but on the way they were stopped at a police checkpoint and he did a runner before they could test him. However, Rachel caught him coming in through the back door of number 26 soaking wet and explained to his on-off girlfriend that he had been involved in a dare with his uni friends to swim across the river. As the middle Kinski child heard Sky reporting the news on the radio about someone evading the police by swimming across the river, Rachel realised that Stingray was to blame and confronted him. Stingray revealed that he hadn’t been drinking and ran as he was driving without a licence, but was he telling the truth?

Boyd caught Janae buying essays from a fellow Erinsborough High student, Joanna Fleming and warned her to stop. Later a desperate and short of money, Janae tried to steal an essay in the middle of Scarlet Bar, but Susan caught her and Jo fighting over it and the scam was revealed, leaving Janae suspended. Frustrated at the decision and at the news that she’d have to resubmit all of the essays, Janae decided to leave school.

Janelle worried about Lou’s forgetfulness and revealed to Karl that her late father had Alzheimer’s, whilst Lou admitted that he was terrified and accepted Karl’s help. However, he was disappointed to discover that there was no conclusive test for the disease.

Karl struggled to adjust to the Kinski presence in the Kennedy House and Audrey’s sudden dislike of him. Feeling left out, the doctor made plans to visit Libby, Darren & Ben for a couple of weeks. Meanwhile, infuriated by Sky’s continual lying over the paternity of her baby, Karl transferred her onto another doctor’s list.

Finally this week, as Anne transferred to Erinsborough High, Bree became increasingly jealous of her friendship with Zeke and when he revealed to Anne that Bree had been intercepting Kim’s letters to Janelle, Bree soon found herself with some serious explaining to do as Anne pretended that she didn’t know Janelle was in earshot and started discussing the issue.
