Elle’s revenge plot took an even nastier turn this week, when she let herself into number 32 and, after almost being caught, waited until Steph left for work then took Charlie. Once Max had realised, and gone to the garage believing Steph didn’t trust him and had taken the baby herself, Elle returned him, before running over to Lyn and Paul, telling them that she could hear Charlie crying inside, but there didn’t seem to be anyone else home. By the time they got to the house, Max and Steph had also arrived back, with Max protesting that Charlie hadn’t been there when he left. He became convinced that it was part of one of Paul’s evil plans to get him back for Cameron’s death, but, after some questioning from Steph, Lyn insisted that he’d been with her all day and was genuine in his attempts to forgive and forget. Meanwhile, Elle went to the bar to tell Boyd what had happened, and offered to cover his shift so he could be with his family. Once behind the bar, she took the opportunity to change a few of Max’s orders with his suppliers and, when he was unable to remember placing it, Max asked Boyd if it was him. Boyd insisted that he hadn’t touched the order, and mentioned that only he and Elle had been working that day. Max quickly realised that Paul’s vindictive daughter had to be behind all of the recent incidents, realising that she had always been nearby whenever anything happened. His family, however, were growing concerned about his constant paranoid ranting and Steph suggested that he should see a psychiatrist before things got any worse. Max couldn’t resist making accusations when he saw Paul in the bar later on, but Paul wasn’t happy to hear Max throwing blame around and reminded him that, no matter what happened, he would always be Cameron’s killer. Unsure of his own sanity and unable to get thoughts of the accident from his mind, Max then wandered off and Boyd later found him sitting on a bench, in tears.

Ned struggled with Carmella’s presence in his home as his feelings grew and he found it difficult to avoid her. When Carmella spoke to him about her feelings for God and her uncertainty about what to do, he selfishly told her that she didn’t need to be a nun to do God’s work. That evening, he found her praying out on the veranda and they finally gave in to their feelings and kissed, but Ned later stopped things from going any further and decided to give Carmella some space. At the bar, he found Katya and the pair ended up going to a club together. Back at number 28, Katya made her intentions clear, but, after his second kiss of the evening, Ned again walked out. The next morning, Ned was still caught between Carmella and Katya, as he took the latter for a session of personal training, witnessed by Loris, who seemed unhappy to see her “toyboy” with another woman. Carmella had other things to worry about when she finally tracked down her missing cousin, Teresa, to Erinsborough Hospital. Teresa was in a terrible state and told Carmella that, if she wanted to make up for her actions of the past, then she would have to find the baby and steal it back. Life was no simpler for another resident of number 30, as Toadie struggled with his growing feelings for Steph and decided to accept a job in Sydney, unsure of how long he would be away.

It looked like Stingray’s drinking might have done him some permanent harm after he fell from the roof and injured a delicate area of his anatomy. At the hospital, Karl forced Stingray to admit that he had been drinking for most of the day before his fall and tests revealed that he may have done some serious damage to himself, possibly putting at risk his chances of ever having children. Rachel, meanwhile, turned to Susan for advice on how to help her boyfriend, who had promised her that he would stop drinking. Karl was alarmed to realise that she had told the kids about his own drinking problem, and decided that it would be best if she remained their sole parent figure, whilst he tried to be more of a friend to them. By the end of the week, Stingray had opened up to Rachel about the possible implications of his injury and Rachel, desperate for someone to talk to, turned to Sky. She tried to get Sky to talk to Stingray, as he clearly needed some friends around him as he tried to give up drinking and came to terms with the news about his health. Having found out that Stingray might never have children, a guilty Sky took a break from planning her wedding extravaganza and went to see him, unsure what, or how much, she was going to say. At the bar, she told Stingray that he would always be important in the live of her unborn child, but, seeing Dylan standing at the bar, she stopped herself from revealing the truth.

Janelle was torn between two daughters this week, as she tried to welcome Anne into the Timmins family, without making Bree feel pushed out. Her attempts were in vain, however, as Bree realised what was going on and asked Sky if she could stay at number 24 for a few weeks, to help the family bond without her there. Loris, meanwhile, managed to get Janelle to accept her peace offering of buying number 26, but overstepped the mark with her daughter-in-law when she then attempted to move in with her family and was thrown onto the street, complete with suitcases. She turned to Harold for support and was interested when he mentioned that Paul was thinking about selling a 40% share in Lassiter’s hotel. But her attention was soon back to her family, when Dylan mentioned the recent dramas with Anne and Bree, little realising that Loris wasn’t aware of the baby swap. Loris then gate-crashed a Timmins family gathering in order to get to know her new biological granddaughter, and Bree took the opportunity to announce that she wanted to meet her real parents, whether Anne liked it or not. Anne agreed to go home the next morning to tell her parents and prepare them for the shock but, when they didn’t hear anything from her, Janelle and Bree headed over to the Baxter house in Eden Hills to find out what was going on. Once there, they found the house empty and called Anne, who said that she was with her parents on the way to the airport and they would never see her again.

On a lighter note, Susan hired pet therapist, Dr Dorothy Little to try and get to the root of the problems between Karl and Audrey. At $90 an hour, Karl was immediately against the idea, but it seemed that he had little choice in the matter. Dr Little quickly suggested to Karl that the main problem was that Audrey had witnessed Karl’s poor treatment of “Mrs Kinski” in the previous years and was uncomfortable with him getting close to her again. Elsewhere, Lou was growing closer to Janelle, despite the misgivings of her children, but a spanner was thrown into the works when he received a letter from Mishka. After Lou threw it in the bin, Harold fished it out and read it to his friend. The letter seemed to indicate that something had happened in Moscow and that there was a reason for Lou suddenly losing a week of his life…
Finally this week, Janae started work for her apprenticeship at the garage but quickly clashed with head mechanic Christine, Paul tried to become the perfect neighbour but struggled with inane banter during dinner with Lyn, Susan and Karl, while Zeke, after failing to be of any help after Stingray’s fall, struggled with accusations from Rachel that he just wasn’t manly enough to turn to in a crisis, but managed to get one up on the bullies with some help from Katya, who pretended that her model friends were waiting for him at number 28, in need of a massage.
