Aunt Daisy 1985

Opinionated Aunt Daisy was one of several Robinson relatives who Jim Robinson stayed with as a child, while his mother, Bess, travelled the world for her career. Daisy resented the way Bess treated her son and she made these feelings clear to everyone in the years that followed. Her visit to Ramsay Street for Paul Robinson and Terry Inglis’ wedding was no exception. At the mere mention of Bess’ name, Daisy expressed her thoughts – and her poor hearing meant that everyone in the room got to hear about it. Daisy made a good friend in Eileen Clarke, but was shipped off as soon as the festivities were over. Fortunately, she was gone just in time to miss a visit from Bess Robinson herself.
