When Max Hoyland and Steph Scully decided to elope on the morning of their wedding, their friends and families eventually caught up with them, but the original wedding venue looked as if it would go to waste. However, when Steph’s grandfather, Charlie Cassidy, proposed to Valda Sheergold, Steph’s grandmother, it looked like the couple, who had only dated briefly when they were young, would finally be reunited. The wedding was officiated by Mary Bates.
