Being married to nosy and judgmental Carol Brown, it was no surprise that Ted Brown stayed away from the marital home. However, he had more to worry about when Carol became an alcoholic and started passing out as a result. During one of these blackouts, Ted took his young children Josie and Tommy away from Carol and left 30 Ramsay Street. Carol was stunned into repairing her life; she moved out and the house was sold to the Sutton family.
