Deb Forster 1999, 2000
Occupation: Self-Defence Instructor, Judo Instructor

When Madge Bishop became a victim of armed robbery at the Coffee Shop, and was then victimised by an enemy of her foster son, Susan Kennedy convinced her to start taking some self-defence classes at the high school. The teacher of the classes was Deb Forster, and she soon picked up on the fact that Madge didn’t really want to be there, and was trying to avoid being used to demonstrate any moves. By the end of the lesson, Deb finally managed to drag Madge out to the front. Madge was shocked when she realised that she’d picked up several of the moves without even realising, and she left the lesson with a positive new attitude. A few months later, Ramsay Street residents Harold Bishop and Teresa Bell started attending judo classes run by Deb. When jokers Toadie and Lance got to hear about this, they couldn’t resist turning up and getting a laugh out of Harold doing martial arts. However, Harold ended up having the last laugh when he easily managed to overpower Toadie, leaving the younger man humiliated.
