Hudson Greene 2023, 2024, 2025
Occupation: Manager of Fitzgerald Motors

After spending a year travelling around Australia with Holly Hoyland and Eden Shaw, Krista Sinclair took her car - a maroon Ford Laser - to Fitzgerald Motors to get some repairs. There, she chatted to mechanic Hudson Greene, and was tracked down by Melanie Pearson, the Sinclair family's former housekeeper who Krista had been constantly asking for money. When Melanie refused to give her more money, Krista left the car with Hudson and went.

Almost a year later, Reece Sinclair arrived in Erinsborough, seemingly to keep an eye on her father Conrad’s investment in Lassiters Hotel, but it soon emerged that she was actually there to search for Krista, who hadn't been in contact for a long time. Having worked out that she had definitely stayed at the hotel a year earlier, Reece confided in hotel porter Byron Stone, who she’d been seeing for a couple of months, that she’d reached a dead end. When Byron worked out that Krista had been using the hotel’s garage, then recognised the number of Fitzgerald Motors on her call records, they went and spoke to Hudson. After seeing Krista’s photo, Hudson explained that she’d brought her car for some repairs, but after asking how much it would cost, she’d left and not come back for the car. Hudson told them that he’d sold the car to cover the costs, and that it had gone to a kid from the local school - Theo Kaloudis - who’d just passed his test.

A year later, Lucas Fitzgerald, the owner of the garage, decided to sell up and the business was bought by Shane Ramsay. Hudson was kept on as the garage manager, and Shane's son, Max, an apprentice mechanic, also came as part of the deal, with Hudson happy to meet the Ramsay father and son, and glad to have some more help around the place.

The following year, journalist Elle Robinson returned to Erinsborough, having been fired from her job in New York, and was determined to get a big scoop to land herself a new job. Having snooped in cop Cara Varga-Murphy's house and found out about a crime ring in the area with someone on the inside of the local government, known only as Jonesy, helping them, she exposed the whole thing. Though this left Cara's family in a lot of danger, Elle was determined that she was doing the right thing and that the truth needed to be known by the public. Convinced that councillor Amelia Jones was involved, Elle was interested to learn that she was very upset about the suspicion surrounding her and had backed her car into a pole. She then came up with a new plan as she walked past the garage and she told Hudson that she was a friend of Max's and was looking for him. Hudson explained that Max had gone out, so she decided to wait and she got talking about the accident she'd heard about that morning, explaining that she had a friend who worked at the council and was worried about them. Hudson told her that the car belonged to someone called Amelia and, when he was distracted, she let herself into the car and started looking for evidence of criminal activity, very intrigued when she found a credit card statement.
