The elder of Tom and Doreen Ramsay’s two daughters was born and brought up in Brisbane during the 1960s. As she grew up, Moira was often at odds with her father, but things came to a head when she decided to elope with her boyfriend. Moira lost contact with her family for some time. She married, thus becoming Mrs Harrigan. But after Tom learnt about the birth of her first child, Holly in 1986, he got back in touch with her. Tom swiftly left Ramsay Street and moved in with Moira and her new family up in Queensland.
