Brisbane girl Doreen Leicester met Tom Ramsay after he’d moved up from Victoria with his family. She worked in the hospital as a nurse, and after her marriage to Tom, they had two daughters; Moira and Gemma. Unfortunately, Tom and Moira, both stubborn, fell out and Moira eloped with her boyfriend while still in her teens. Although father and daughter did eventually reunite, sadly it wasn’t before Doreen had died in 1986.
