When Daphne Lawrence's grandfather Harry Henderson turned up on her doorstep, she took him out sightseeing around the city, before leaving him at the local senior centre, hoping that he'd meet some people of his own age. Harry returned with news that he'd met a charming lady called Miss Jones, failing to mention that she was actually the centre's telephonist and was much younger than him. Daphne and her housemate Des were therefore surprised when Cleo Jones arrived on their doorstep, and Harry took her out for the day. The pair were hoping to win the raffle at the senior centre, in which the prize was a trip around the world, but they actually ended up winning a trip to the Gold Coast, as they were the 10,000th customers in the restaurant where they had lunch. Though Harry returned a couple of weeks later, he had a new lady friend, Yvette, in tow, as Cleo had decided to stay on the Gold Coast.
