After winning a competition to meet Alessandro Cortes, the star of her favourite Brazilian soap opera, Lust Na Vila, an excited Libby Kennedy took along her mum, Susan, and their friend Lyn Scully as her guests. The three women were star struck when they came face to face with Alessandro, who proceeded to kiss Lyn and Susan but only shake hands with Libby and, moments later, his flustered personal assistant Claire La Fontaine turned up, further frustrating Libby by calling her ‘Lizzy’. Things only got worse during their lunch together, as Alessandro lavished attention on Susan and Lyn, and even asked ‘Lizzy’ to take a photo of the three of them together. However, as the afternoon drew to a close, Libby was surprised to learn that it had all been something of a publicity stunt and Alessandro was forced to lavish attention on the more mature women, as they were his most loyal fan group, but he insisted that he’d rather spend time with Libby.
