Following a stressful lunch trying to connect with her son Callum, Sonya Rebecchi went to pay and found that her credit card had been declined, as she had signed with her old surname, Mitchell. Barman Pierce refused to listen as she tried to explain, and called the bank who advised him to cut up her card. He then told her that she couldn't leave without paying and, as she had no money with her, she and Callum had to sit and wait. After a while, Callum suggested that they do a runner, finally giving mother and son a fun moment to bond over, with Sonya later returning to the bar with Toadie's wallet to settle the bill. A few weeks later, Pierce caused trouble again, this time for Summer Hoyland, when he asked to see I.D. as she ordered wine in front of her older boyfriend Bradley Fox.
