Mr Evans 1985

After deciding to give up on stripping and try to find a new career, Daphne Lawrence joined a temping agency, and her first job was as secretary to Mr Evans. Daphne immediately recognised him from one of her stripping jobs, but it took a while before he remembered where he'd seen her face before. He then remembered that she'd jumped out of a cake at Sir Arthur's birthday party, and his lecherous behaviour turned to harassment, as he forced Daphne to admit that it was true, and threatened to phone the agency and report her, if she quit. As the agency was unaware of her past, Daphne was forced to stay and put up with him brushing against her and making suggestive comments about her still moonlighting as a stripper in the evenings. Things worsened as Mr Evans told Daphne that he was going to take her out to dinner, and if she wanted to keep her job, she would accept his invitation. But when Mr Evans then groped her, Daphne realised that the situation had to stop, and she threatened to sue him for harassment, before telling him that she'd had enough and was leaving.
