Philip Nolan 1986

An old friend of Daphne Lawrence, Zoe Davis and Tony Chapman from their time in Brisbane, Philip Nolan paid a visit to Erinsborough and ended up staying with Daphne and her new husband, Des Clarke. Des quickly became jealous of Philip, as he played on the Ramsay team in the Ramsay versus Robinson cricket match, scored 91 and led to his team winning. Later that day, Des’ competitive streak was further revealed as they all played Trivial Pursuit, but again, Philip won. A furious Des couldn’t wait for the new houseguest to leave and, as he picked up on the tension, Philip decided to move out into a hotel. Daphne was angry with her husband and his childish ways and forced him to make up with Philip. Before long, Des realised that he’d been wrong the two were getting along well, just as Philip had to leave Erinsborough.
