Having lost and regained his wealth, Paul Robinson decided to use some of his money to create a legacy for his kids - he appointed his son Leo as business affairs manager and made a large donation to a new hospital wing for son David, who worked as a doctor. He then took over a half-finished housing development, naming it Robinson Heights, and employing his daughter Amy to manage the project. Following a previous disastrous attempt at housing development, Paul attempted to keep things quiet until the deal was done, with Leo meeting property developer Kurt Pilgrim in secret on a boat.

As the project started to move ahead, Amy looked over the figures and felt that Kurt was ripping them off. He became offended when she suggested that she could find some cheaper contractors for them, and she told him that if he didn't like it, she'd have to fire him from the project. Kurt warned that he'd be going to speak to Paul about it, but he was furious to find that Paul backed up Amy, and stormed off, telling Paul that he was a joke.
