After realising that Ned Parker had developed a gambling problem, Paul Robinson decided to take advantage of the situation by arranging a big poker game at his house one evening, and inviting the hapless Ned along. Having roped his mate Ari Piven into the plan, Paul then spent the night allowed Ned to win, before setting him up for a big fall and leaving him $25,000 in debt to Ari. Paul then put the final part of the plan into action by agreeing to pay off the debt for Ned, who promised that he would do anything in return.
