As lawyer Toadie Rebecchi was forced to compete with colleague Rosetta Cammeniti, with the one who billed the least hours getting the sack, he met pensioner Veronica Potter, who had fallen and injured herself on the driveway outside her apartment block. An uncomfortable Toadie was forced to tell her that she’d have to take legal action against the building’s body corporate, despite some of them being pensioners themselves, as the upkeep of the block was their responsibility. Veronica thanked Toadie for his help, though he was left feeling guilty about the whole thing and wondering if helping boss Tim Collins to con old ladies was really the best use of his law degree.
