When Toadfish Rebecchi launched a jokey new section on his radio show, encouraging students to save money by shoplifting, he never expected anyone to take it seriously. But when one of the students, Edward Rogers, ended up being caught shoplifting, Toadie was fired from the radio station and found himself charged. In court, Edward was called as a witness, and Toadie pointed out that Edward couldn’t blame anyone else – he was accountable for his own actions and wouldn’t have jumped off a cliff if Toadie had suggested it, so why should this be any different. Fortunately, Toadie’s argument won the day and the charges were dismissed.
