When young Emily Hancock ran away from home following an argument with her brother, Leo, she was spotted by bus driver Tom Mitchell and a search of an area of bushland began, led by Senior Sergeant Jenny Russell. Jenny explained to Emily’s worried parents, Maggie and Evan, that they would be searching a small area at a time, and asked them not to help, as it would most probably slow the process down. As Emily managed to stay hidden during the search, it wasn’t until Leo turned up and started calling his sister’s name that she finally emerged from her hiding place.
