When Carey and her friend Alicia ran into Chris Pappas, who they knew from the gym where he worked, and his friend Andrew Robinson, even though he and Chris were still at high school, Andrew was keen to spend some time with the girls, and encouraged Chris to join them. They arranged to meet up at the uni courtyard the next day, and it seemed like they were going to get away with it, until Susan spotted them and asked why they were skipping school - before taking them back to Erinsborough High to explain their actions. Alicia, however, managed to see the funny side and arranged to see 'bad boy' Andrew again, and later that week, she and Carey met with Andrew and Chris at Charlie's bar. Unfortunately, the afternoon ended badly, as Chris, Andrew and the girls got a bit noisy and drew complaints from Michael Williams, leading to an argument with him and his daughter, Andrew's ex-girlfriend, Tash, and a fight between Chris and Tash's new boyfriend, Kyle.
