Tim 1985

Having played Danny Ramsay and Scott Robinson off against each other for weeks, young Wendy Gibson's behaviour finally caught up with her when the two boys had a brawl in the street, and neighbour Daphne Lawrence realised that Wendy had been enjoying seeing them fight over her. As Wendy insulted Daphne over her work as a stripper, and told her to mind her own business, Daphne decided that it was time to teach the young girl a lesson. She arranged for her friend Tim to 'bump into' Wendy at a restaurant that evening, where Scott was meant to be taking her out but he'd had to work, waiting tables. Tim claimed that he already knew of Wendy, as they had mutual friends back in Queensland, and he offered to take her out, also mentioning that he was heading back up north the next day, and it would be nice if they could see each other again. Wendy was quick to give Scott the flick, and went out to a disco and concert with Tim instead. The next morning, she announced that she was leaving, taking a taxi to meet Tim at the bus station. However, he didn't turn up, and Wendy was forced to return home alone, having finally received a taste of her own medicine. Later that day, Tim called in to see Daphne, telling her that the plan had worked. When Daphne offered to pay back the money he'd spent on his date with Wendy, he turned her down, explaining that she and Father Barry had really helped him to get his life back on track, and he was happy to repay the favour.
