Following a big win on the lotto, Erinsborough resident David Bishop decided to splash out on a new sports car. Whilst on a test drive to Lassiter’s hotel complex with salesman Dan Wheedon, David protested to an unconvinced Dan that he could afford the car and was genuinely interested. After they stopped, Dan stepped away to answer a phone call and was spotted by Paul Robinson and his daughter, Elle, who started chatting about organising a test drive of their own. As David listened to his enemy, Paul – who had stolen David’s wife, Liljana earlier that year – he realised that he didn’t want to be anything like him, and quietly walked away.
