Kimberley Davies
Played: Annalise Hartman
Appeared: 1993-1996, 2005

Born in Ballarat, Victoria on February 20th, 1973, Kimberley Davies attended Fintona Girls School in Balwyn, and her big break in front of the camera came with a career as a fashion model, with Chadwick Modelling Agency, when she was a teenager. She also started dating fellow model Scott Michaelson, who joined the Neighbours cast as Brad Willis, but quickly found herself receiving almost as much press attention as him. In late 1992, she was offered the role of Ramsay Street vamp Annalise Hartman, first appearing on screen in early 1993 and quickly becoming one of the most popular cast members since the 1980s.

Although Kimberley’s relationship with Scott was not to last, her Neighbours role grew and grew, with Annalise at the heart of numerous storylines during her three years in the show, and regularly at the centre of the programme’s end-of-season cliffhanger episodes. With Kimberley’s profile growing, and a new relationship with medical student Jason Harvey blossoming, Kimberley quit Ramsay Street in October 1995 to try her luck with new acting roles. In 1996, she co-hosted Australia’s practical joke show Just Kidding and filmed a small role in the movie True Love And Chaos before heading out to try her luck in Hollywood.

In 1997, Kimberley seemed to have quickly hit the big time, after being cast as Laura Sinclair in Aaron Spelling’s latest offering, Pacific Palisades. The show rated poorly and was cancelled after one season, but Kimberley’s personal life was a happier affair, as she married Jason. Her brief exposure in Pacific Palisades led to numerous small role in the years that followed, with guest appearances in television shows including Ally McBeal and Spin City, and films such as Psycho Beach Party and The Next Best Thing.

Kimberley then stepped out of the limelight for a couple of years, and gave birth to two children; Isabella (born December 2002) and Joshua (born December 2004). Following another brief cameo, this time in the sitcom Friends, Kimberley and her family relocated to Australia in 2005. The move saw her back on Australian television, with appearances on Celebrity Circus and a return to her role as Annalise for Neighbours’ 20th anniversary celebrations. In November 2005, Kimberley was a contestant on the UK’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! though was forced to pull out early after injuring herself in a helicopter stunt.

2006 saw her film the pilot for the series Secretary, which was never picked up, and a similar situation occurred after she filmed the pilot for City Homicide. Although the show was picked up, Kimberley’s role was axed when the producers took the show in a different direction. 2007 saw her appearing as a contestant on the fifth series of Australia’s Dancing With The Stars, the second to be eliminated, before announcing that she intended to spend more time with her children, with the hope of opening her own small business to allow her to do so.
